SCAM ALERT. They actually mocked me when I questioned them, bragging about how well off they are and claiming they’re barely affected by the cost of living issues. Apparently, they’ve just bought a brand new BMW M3 and said it’s all because nobody ever tries to stop them. 🤬 The Police told me to put a warning up on social media and ask everyone to share it, saying if lots of people do this, more will recognise these scams. The Police mentioned that these fraudsters have taken hundreds of thousands of pounds over the last month alone.

They didn’t get hold of me the first time, but on the follow-up call, they caught me! Some guy, quite courteous but slightly insistent, claimed my info was shared by a catalogue I supposedly used (I don’t mess with catalogues). He was going on about a supposedly easy £15 cashback offer. Knowing cashback usually means you pay something upfront, I politely said no thanks. When he kept pressing me about why, I just hung up. Have blocked the number since.
