I got a call after receiving a phishing email, sounded really legit but kept pushing me for my balance info. They included a link pretending to be American Express, so watch out for that.

Some bloke rang claiming to be from Barclays, said there was dodgy stuff on my account and asked for security info. He came across proper convincing. I told him I wasn’t in and couldn’t get to my pin device. Said he should ring back at 4:30. Then he asked me to log into my online banking - yeah right! My phone’s ancient and dies if unplugged, which it did. Tried calling back but I had no charger on me. Blocked and deleted him straight away. Don’t pick up if you get a call like that!

Got a call from this number around half past eleven at night, which I found too late for any proper business chat, so I let it ring off. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of dodgy calls pretending to be from banks trying to scam me. I looked up this number and it definitely seems to be one of those scam calls.

Total rip off, they drained my Barclays, even pushed me into £2000 overdraft. Sounded proper polite and professional, kept saying calls were recorded for "security". I reckon they hacked my bank while I was still on the line, since phone never hung up on their end. All the stolen cash went on buying stuff from some perfume and cosmetics shop in Malta. Then, 6 weeks down the line, they call back! I shouted at them to piss off loud enough to make them disappear.

So, to cut a long story short: I got a call and decided to ring Barclays through their official app. The woman I spoke to told me they’re aware of the number in question - apparently it’s a scam. She said Barclays would never ask customers to transfer funds between accounts over the phone. She admitted these scammers are pretty crafty but warned me not to pick up calls from that number or share any bank info by phone.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Barclays, saying there was suspicious activity on my account. Turned out to be a total scam trying to get my bank info. I called up Barclays’ official fraud department just to be sure, and they confirmed it was fake. Absolutely don’t share any details if you get a call like this!
