Got a dodgy call the other day - they just buzz you and drop the line straight away. Curious, I rang back to see who it was. Then, out of nowhere, a recorded voice starts thanking me for contacting their customer service earlier (which I never did) and goes on and on about entering me into some kind of prize draw. The whole thing’s designed to keep you hanging on the line, racking up charges. Proper scammers, those lot.
