I got a call saying my Eon contract had finished. I told them I wasn’t with Eon at all, then suddenly they started going on about British Gas. I just hung up after that.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from EON, saying my contract needed renewing. He asked for my name and address to confirm. Then he handed me over to another guy who wanted to read the whole contract through the phone and have me agree there and then. Seemed a bit fishy since my contract isn’t due until the year’s end, so I just ended the call.

Got a call claiming to be from British Gas, I just ended it straight away. No way I was going to waste my time with a cold call. I used to be polite but now I just don’t bother and hang up asap.
