Something similar happened to me last Saturday. I received a message claiming there was a transaction waiting for my approval, and it looked really legit since it appeared within my banking app. I followed the steps and denied recognising the payment, then it said my card had been blocked and to call a certain number. Luckily, when I dialled 0345 120 4056, a voice message said the number had changed and I needed to call a new freephone number. I ended up hanging up immediately and got in touch with my bank straight away.

Somebody tried to illegally take £330 out of my Lloyds Bank account, supposedly for Ebay. Looks like these scammers are pretty organised, like others have mentioned here. They even called me on both my mobile and landline, so it seems like my info got leaked somewhere. I didn’t use the phone number they gave for Lloyds Bank Security (0345 120 4056), instead I looked up the official number from Lloyds Bank’s website. Heard from a few other folks who contacted Lloyds Bank about the same scam attempt tonight.

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds bank asking for my card number and cvv. It honestly seemed quite genuine at first, but when I rang Lloyds directly to check, it turns out it wasn’t their fraud department at all. Total scam, so watch out for this!

Got a call yesterday evening from someone claiming my bank card was frozen and that £400 had been withdrawn. I just ended the call straight away.
