someone rang me claiming to be from plusnet, saying it was regarding gpdr to justify the call. turned out to be a sales pitch disguised as a gpdr inquiry. i told them "i don’t know who you really are so i’m not sharing anything," and the bloke got rude, swearing before slamming the phone down. definitely never going with plusnet after that.

Got a really annoying call trying to "verify my info". Just ended the call straight away.

Got calls from a marketing firm working for PlusNet (internet service folks). I asked about their service online but didn’t finish signing up and already told PlusNet twice that I’m not interested. Still, they keep ringing me. When I called back they said I could stop the calls by ringing 03451126623. Since 03 numbers are free on my phone plan, I did that, left my details and was told it might take up to 48 hours to sort. Hoping it actually works this time!

Got a call from this number just after I was looking up broadband and TV deals through PC World. Had a chat on Now TV's website, but after asking questions, I told them it wasn't what I was after. Then this number rang. Didn't pick up and have blocked it since.

haven't talked to them but noticed calls on my landline upstairs. the one downstairs blocks them so it don’t even ring. i’m not too fussed about some company keepin’ on trying to reach me.

Got two calls from this number today. Spoke to a bloke who sounded quite nice, told him I’d get in touch with Plusnet myself if I wanted to check or change my plan. I mentioned I’d been looking at this website to see what others had said about calls like this, and he seemed to get it, said “oh right.” I just told him I was happy with my current deal and he was fine with that. Cant be Plusnet, rang them after gettin a call from this number. I didn’t even answer any of their security questions. When I spoke to Plusnet, they said no one’s checked my account and that the call definitely wasnt from them. Don’t share any info, just say you’ll ring them back on their official free number - number caller was using: 03451126604.

This number has called me quite a few times as well. I never pick up my landline and don't bother checking the voicemail, so I have no clue what they're after. It's just really irritating. I'm with Plusnet, but I can't see why they'd ring me since they normally just send bills and stuff by email.

Just to clear things up about this number, it’s not directly from PlusNet but from a call centre named Voice Marketing in Sheffield. They work with PlusNet and contact current customers about their services. This number is legit - when they email you, it’s not just an email but also creates a support ticket on your PlusNet account. Everyday my phone ends up with loads of recorded messages. It’s always the same annoying bit going "If you’re called... then press..." and the worst part is it just keeps going over and over, no way to make it stop for good. Such a pain!

I got a voicemail saying to call a different 0345 number if I preferred not to receive any calls from them!

About a day after I last spoke to them, my phone line got cut off for three days straight, but my neighbours next door were fine. Pretty clear they didn’t like how our conversation ended and took it a bit too personally (you can work out the rest). Anyway, I’ve reported it to the police because even if I’m a client of this company and they ring me at home about upgrades or whatever, it’s still unsolicited calling. Got two calls today from someone talking about Madasafish accounts shutting down and maybe moving to Plusnet. They asked if I'd received the email, and when I said yes but didn’t go into any more detail, the caller just said “Alright, cheers.” Feels like maybe they’re confused or mixed up between departments or something.

They keep ringing non-stop but never bother to leave a message on the voicemail when we don’t pick up. So annoying!

Hi all - just a quick update from me on October 8th, 2015. Seriously, this isn’t Plusnet calling you. This number rang my landline four times. I never pick up unknown landline numbers - I let them go to voicemail or use 1471 to check who it was and then look them up online, which brought me here. Since I’m already a Plusnet customer, I contacted them directly to ask about 03451126604, and they confirmed it’s definitely not their phone. A search on their official site confirms they don’t use that number either. It’s a total scam, so beware. Plusnet told me they only ask for your username and parts of your password to verify identity - but they will never request bank details or any sensitive info. They also said they don’t call customers asking for account or direct debit info because there’s no reason for that. Remember, scammers are clever; they copy websites, emails, and sound totally convincing on the phone. About that email one person here mentioned from “Plusnet” where the caller supposedly said they’d send a verification email to the registered address - that email’s fake! Plusnet confirmed they don’t do this. Sorry to say, but that person got fooled, though luckily they weren’t ripped off. Honestly, I'd rather be broke and honest than work as some sneaky cold-call scammer. Stay alert, think twice, and have a good day. So today I got a call from this number 03451126604 and honestly no clue if it’s for real or not. It’s 2024, and I swear people should know by now not to ask for personal info on the phone. If I’m supposed to be dealing with you, you’re still basically a cold caller, so bless ya for trying but seriously, just leave me alone!

Just following up from what I said before...

Plusnet phoning to ask if I’m happy with my broadband. I didn’t pick up and let the answering machine get it. Saw on another site it might be them so I called their official number to check. They told me that’s one of the numbers they use to call customers. I told them I wasn’t pleased since they only have permission to email me, and because they didn’t leave a message, I thought it was just another scam or telemarketer. They didn’t really seem to care much about how I felt. Might end up losing me as a customer after all these years!

Yeah, it’s got to be Plusnet. I once asked one of their sales people why they never leave a voicemail for folks, but they didn’t really have an answer. Funny enough, after I left a message asking them to call me back, they rang again about 5 minutes later from the same number - this time I answered since I recognised it. Honestly, I have no clue why they make cold calls out of nowhere like that. Maybe they’re just trying to get people to switch their internet service or something.

I’m also a PlusNet customer, but if this was actually them, I’d be pretty annoyed since I never agreed to receive calls, and they didn’t even bother to leave a message! Just to add on from my previous post... I rang PlusNet to see if the call I got was actually from them and they did say that number does belong to their set of customer contact numbers. I made it clear I’d only agreed to emails, not phone calls, and that since they didn’t leave a voicemail, it had me worried it was some dodgy cold call or scam. Honestly, they didn’t seem to care much about how I felt about them calling me out of the blue. Today I recieved a call from a guy named Daniel who claimed to be from Plusnet. He specifically asked to speak with me, and said he had some questions before getting into my account. I told him there was no way for me to verify he was actually with Plusnet. Maybe he just trying to confirm it was me he wanted, but I decided to end the call right then and there. So I politely hung up and went back to enjoying my tea and a slice of cheesecake.

This number just rang me up - bloke sounded Irish, not like he was from Sheffield or anything! I saw on another forum that someone claiming to be from Plusnet mentioned they sometimes call customers with better deals. I’ve recently updated my contact preferences with Plusnet to email or post only. Maybe we could all agree on a way to verify them, like asking for a code we've decided on beforehand? That’d prove if it’s really them. Caller probably from Plusnet, I reckon.

Today (1/7/15), I got called twice by this number, both times in the afternoon spaced a couple hours apart. These days I dont pick up at all. The answerphone handles everything and if it’s a legit call, they usually leave a message so I call back. But this number? Just rings and no message, obviously some kind of telemarketer.

Can anyone tell me who this is? I do night shifts and it’s really annoying getting woken up by calls from this number!

I've been getting calls from this number on my home phone pretty much every evening and weekend for the past week. I've stopped picking up altogether now, thinking that if it's really urgent, they'll leave a voicemail. But this number just hangs up before my answerphone even starts, so I'm guessing it's some sort of auto dialler. Tried looking it up elsewhere but no luck at all. Definitely looks like a nuisance caller to me.
