Got a call from a guy named Albert, said he was with British Gas. Claimed I had a refund waiting and that he was calling from the UK, mentioning their head office is in London. Asked me to verify some info to get it sorted. Definitely felt like a scam. The number was 0345 0877743.

Got a call from someone saying they were with EDF, saying I'd been overcharged and then they tried putting me through to their 'manager'. This bloke, sounded Indian, started asking for loads of my account info. I just played dumb the whole time - they ended up hanging up, but then rang right back again. I told them straight up it was all rubbish, and then they dropped the call. Definitely felt like some kind of scam going on.

My phone rang this afternoon from 5 087 7743, didn't pick up 'cause i had no clue who it was. Decided to check it out anyway and turns out it was some kind of scam. Proper relieved i didn't bother saying anything!

got a ring from this number claiming they could help me save 200 quid. no clue how they came up with that figure. i asked straight away which firm they were working for and instead of answering, he just gave me his name. i said mate, I’m asking about the company not your name. then he snapped at me to just listen, and ended with a rude phrase telling me to bugger off. lovely chap! i just said cheers and wished him a good day anyway.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent trying to talk about a utility deal. They didn’t really know who I was or even the name of my company, which was a bit confusing.

Today alone, this bloke called me seven times, always saying his name was David Martin. He kept going on about stuff like computers and gas. It’s quite amusing really, especially since I don’t even have electric or gas connected!
