I can assure you, this isn't a fraudulent call. The number actually belongs to SSE, which has now merged with OVO. So, it’s essentially an OVO contact number these days.

They're aware of my name, but I suspect it might just be a dodgy scam.

I got a letter that seemed to confirm an appointment, but when I called the number, they picked up as if they were SSE. However, they just put me on hold without any explanation. I suspect it’s a dodgy scheme meant to trick people into contacting whoever sent that letter.

I received a text on my iPhone notifying me that an engineer would be visiting my residence on Thursday. I've since removed that message from my phone.
