I’m fairly certain this was a scam. The caller said they were from Lloyds and asked for my bank details, but I couldn’t confirm they were actually from the bank. They didn’t seem to have any of my info already yet wanted to know my account balance. When I questioned them, they claimed the number they called from matched Lloyds’ self service line, trying to prove they were legit. But when I challenged that, they just ended the call.

Totally a scam. The minute I mentioned I’d hang up and ring the number on my bank card, the caller got really annoyed and started bossing me around. If you’re unsure about a call from a company, just ring them yourself. It’s the best way to check if it’s legit. And never use the number they give you - always find a number you know is genuine. This number is listed on the Lloyds site but ive got two calls from it saying they’re from Lloyds. After I texted them saying I hadn’t asked for any activation code, they seemed legit at first but then they wanted me to confirm my device and sent a link to log into my online banking. When I phoned Lloyds directly, they told me to never answer calls from banks straight away. Instead, call the number on the back of your card to check, because scammers can fake the number to make it seem real.

The voice on the other end sounded like a woman in an empty room, lacking any kind of politeness and getting straight to the point without providing any names or personal details. I inquired about which card was at risk, and they had no information. I asked about the amount involved, and again, they had no clue. When I requested written clarification, they refused to comply. Overall, it seems that their plan is not going too well.

Got a call from someone saying they were Lloyds bank. I rang the number back and it greeted me as Lloyds bank. I checked the number on their site and it matched their business contact. They said I had £2000 waiting to be confirmed in my account. I rang Lloyds directly using the official number I already had and they told me it was a scam. I ended up giving them the two numbers that had phoned me.

I never got a phone call, just a letter through the door telling me to ring them and give my account number, sort code, and card details because they couldn't verify who I was when I called. The number was (0345 072 5555). I haven’t rung them back, as it looked dodgy. I’m heading to Lloyds today to show them the letter and see what’s going on. Unbelievable how bold these scammers are! Watch out, folks.

Got a call on 27/07/22 from someone saying they needed to talk about my business account. There was a woman on the line who sounded like she had a foreign accent, so I just hung up straight away and blocked the number.

I keep getting messages from this number almost every week, sometimes a couple a day, saying I’ve added a new payee on my Lloyds bank account. Thing is, I’ve never even had a Lloyds account. Pretty sure it’s some sort of scam.

Today, I received a letter from ‘Lloyds Bank' informing me that an individual had made an attempt to access my account. Doubtful of the authenticity of the letter, I called my bank to verify this claim. To my relief, the bank confirmed that they had no record of such activity. The letter advised me to contact them with my account number and sort code to establish a security code for my account. It became apparent that this was a fraudulent scheme aimed at deceiving individuals.

Really sketchy and quite believable. Got a voicemail from a lady saying she was from Lloyds, telling me to ring her straight away so her team could assist me. She spoke with a British accent and knew my name (said it right too), but luckily I don’t have an account with Lloyds and always look up numbers first. Still, this could easily trick a lot of people. Properly risky.

Today, I have received two text messages from this particular number. The initial message states that they have acknowledged my Mandate request and will inform me once my application has been processed. Another text arrived shortly after, saying that the Mandate request has now been fulfilled. It is important to note that I do not hold a TSB account and I haven't made any calls to this number.

Got a call about some scam linked to NHS Covid PCR tests which I already reported to my bank and had my debit card blocked. They said they were from the bank’s Fraud department. I told them I’d visit my bank in person to discuss the fraud tomorrow and refused to talk to them over the phone.

When I picked up, the woman asked for my husband and said she was calling on behalf of Lloyds Bank. I asked him if he had an account there, which he definitely doesn’t. Once I told her there was no Lloyds account in his name, she said she’d send an email - what a load of rubbish!

I recently received a call from this number, where the person on the other end posed as a representative from Natwest (despite my phone displaying Lloyds). The caller informed me about some suspicious activities taking place on my account. Interestingly, during the conversation, I could hear a dog barking in the background, so I asked if the caller was working from home. He tried to brush it off as crackle on the line, but he wasn't very convincing - not great at lying, I'd say. Then, he proceeded to request my date of birth, which made me feel uncomfortable enough to end the call immediately.

They claimed to be from Lloyds Business account. They knew my name and even left a message on my voicemail, despite me having blocked a previous number of theirs 0800169 7762. When I contacted Lloyds bank to check, they told me it was definitely a scam call.

Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Lloyds bank. He told me there were two direct debits for Sky Mobile and JD Williams on my account, which I’ve never used. He even knew my surname and the last few digits of my account number. Thankfully, I was on my guard and didn’t share any details. I did ask for his number though: 03450725555. Had a quick Google and found out it’s a scam, so watch out!
