Got a letter saying my order was cancelled and to ring the number on it. I actually ended up calling a different jd williams number for their fraud department and they told me it was a scam. Weirdly, the number on the letter shows up on their official site too, so if you get one of these letters, you should definitely contact jd williams fraud team directly. Someone's tried to set up credit in your name! Just don’t ring the number on the letter itself - instead get in touch with jd williams so they can close down any fake account.

Got a letter that looked like it was from JD Williams about an order being cancelled. It said after some sort of internal review, no money had been taken from my credit card - which is weird, coz I don’t even own one! So, I got this letter about a 'recent order' supposedly from 'Ambrose Wilson' that got cancelled, telling me to get in touch with them to fix it. The phone number they gave didn’t say what company it was for at all. I ended up reporting it to the police fraud department, and turns out it’s a scam that’s been going around again. They told me to keep an eye on my bank just in case and to block the number straight away.

Looks like these scammers have brought back the old trick with fashion world, claiming my order got cancelled due to some "internal checks" and telling me to reach them on the same number everyone else is getting. I’ve never bought anything from fashion world or JD Williams, but my name and address were spot on, so I had a look here and sure enough, heaps of people saying it’s a scam. The envelope came from a PO Box in Huddersfield too. Planning to report this one to action fraud for sure.

This scam is still going strong. For me, it was something about Home Essentials. Some bloke called DJ Williams did a credit check and now they’re after me for £400. When I looked up the number 0345 071 9018, it showed loads of different companies. I’ve reported it to the police online, also to Action Fraud, and made sure to check with my bank.

Got a bill from some firm named JACAMO saying I owe them £226.30 for stuff I’ve never bought or even heard about. I got two letters from Fashion World / JD Williams & Co. The first one asked me for £60, but since I never bought anything from them, I just ignored it. Then a second letter came, saying the amount had gone up to £74.01 and gave the number 0345 071 9018 to set up a direct debit. I looked up this number on who called and read some of the reviews. I really hope those scammers get caught soon before more folks get tricked by this.

I left a message earlier today (10.3.24) concerning J D Williams and how it seems to be a scam. However I forgot to mention that on the back of their envelope, which looked really official, there was a Return Address: PO BOX 189, HUDDERSFIELD, HD8 1DY. When I looked this up on Google, it came up as Lowell Financial, who apparently work as debt collectors. This scam needs proper investigation and should be shut down asap. Please be cautious if you get any unexpected demands or letters. This website is really useful for checking who’s calling, so make the most of it.

On 11th March 2024 I got a letter from JD WILLIAMS at 40 Lever Street M/cr M1 1BB cancelling an order or something like that... they gave a phone number 0345 071 9018. It really worried me since I never bought anything from them or even signed up. I looked up the number on Google and it’s everywhere on loads of websites, looks legit enough to trick someone. I got an email from someone called Ambrose Wilson saying my order for £758 had gone through. It had my name and email, but no order number, and the delivery address was in Sheffield (I’m actually based in Essex). The email seemed fishy, especially the links. I rang the number on the email but they told me to call a different one, which just didn’t connect. I then chatted online with a rep from 'Ambrose Wilson' who asked for my address and stuff, but I didn’t want to give it, so he told me to email their fraud team instead. I still haven’t heard back from them at all.

I got an email saying my PS4 order from Simply Be was on its way and that £349 would be taken from my bank. Problem is, I never ordered anything like that. Got an email from Premier Man about an order for electrical gear costing £380 meant for some address in Birmingham. I hadn’t phoned the number they listed, so I rang Premier Man straight away. I got a message from this number claiming that I have an outstanding debt with JD Williams. Honestly, I've never even heard of that company, let alone made any purchases on credit with them. It's clearly a scam, and I wouldn't trust it for a second!

I've been receiving calls from this number incessantly. Every time I pick up, there's just silence on the other end. Out of curiosity, I decided to give it a ring back, thinking it might be the shop I'm expecting a call from. They prompted me to choose from options one to four, so naturally, I selected one. Then they wanted my customer number, which put me on guard. Since then, I've just chosen to give this number a wide berth.

Just got a message saying it's from fifty plus saying i owe cash, never signed up or anything. The number they want you to ring switches every time, this was one of those numbers.

I just got a message from something called Premier Man, urging me to fork out £5 on their website, http://www.premierman.co.uk, which is rather odd since I’ve never opened an account with them. They also mentioned phoning them on that number. A quick search online revealed what I suspected-these folks are up to no good!

I got a message from this number claiming to be from a firm named Simply Be, insisting I owe them £59.32 for an account that I neither possess nor am aware of. I chose to disregard the message altogether.
