Got a random call from someone called Simon from RS Services, claiming they wanted to talk about my satellite dish. Sounded dodgy to me right away. I said I wasn’t familiar with them and didn’t feel right giving any details. They were actually quite polite about it, thanked me, and then ended the call. Watch out, this smells like a scam!

I've been having an issue with my Sky+ HD box showing error 6-06, so I decided to sign up with RS Services and paid the £150 fee. But whenever I tried getting in touch with them, especially the lady handling my case, all she did was note down my name and phone number and claimed they'd pass the info along. I never received any receipt or account details for the payment. Today, I called them again to ask for a refund since I was getting really fed up with being bounced around. The woman said she'd check if I qualified for a refund. Honestly, I think I’d have been better off sticking with Sky Protect. Has anyone here actually managed to get a refund from RS Services?

Just got a phone call from a woman named Malisa from some r s services. I ended up giving her all my info. Later my wife told me it sounds like a scam. Not sure what to do now. I called my bank but they said they can’t help until tomorrow morning. Heads up, r s services will ask you for your bank name and then tell you the first 4 digits of your card, which actually matches your card but is just the bank’s code. BE WARNED, look into it properly!

I got a call from someone named Nicole Herbert who tried to sell me some insurance for £50 a year over three years. After confirming my name, she asked for our Barclaycard info so supposedly the 'compliance' team could ring back to finalise the deal. Felt kinda fishy, so I looked up the number on this site and saw loads of other people had the same call from RS Service. Definitely going to contact the bank and warn them about it.

These people aren’t regulated by the FCA at all. Honestly, your best bet is to report them straight to the FCA on 0800 111 6768, or you can get in touch with your local trading standards team to let them know about the scam.

Today I got a call from RS Services, the number was 03450569339. A lady called Patricia answered and said I could get a 3-year service plan for my Sky gear at a cheaper price of £150. Recently, my elderly mother, who’s 90, has been receiving calls from this number that have raised my suspicions. She passed them on to me, suspecting they might be a scam. They claim to be the engineers from Sky Protect, but they also mentioned Domestic & General, evidently trying to leverage those well-known names to instil a sense of trust. The conversation was always the same - a seemingly harmless offer of low risk for £150 upfront to cover three years. They tried to obtain her card details, which I firmly advised against. It also turned out they provided her with an incorrect address. The name given was Phillipa Davies, and she’s supposed to be calling back this week. I can’t shake the feeling that if something sounds too good to be true, it likely is! If they manage to extract 10 card numbers a day from vulnerable individuals, that's £1500 straight into their pockets. I’d be keen to find out if Sky Protect is even aware of this. I plan to give them a call later today.

A caller identified themselves as being from R S Services, claiming that due to my lack of claims on my Sky Equipment policy over the past year, I was now considered a low-risk client. As a result, they were offering me a rather peculiar discount-£150 for three years instead of the usual £100 for just one year! They even mentioned two card numbers supposedly linked to my account, but when I inquired why there were two different cards, they simply ignored my question. In the end, I requested their contact number so I could reach out directly, and they provided me with the number mentioned above. Quite the odd scenario, I must say!

Yesterday I got a call from someone trying to offer a discount on my satellite equipment cover - I already have Sky Protect. She claimed that the protection would be connected directly with the engineers sent out by Sky Protect. What worried me was how much she seemed to know about my Sky account.
