They keep ringing me every single day. Today I finally got through to a manager who rudely told me not to waste his time. So now I’m having a go at them, giving them a good piece of my mind. I told them I’ve reported them and I’m not stopping anytime soon. I’ve had three calls from them just today, and it’s been like this all month long.

Got a call from someone claiming to be E.On renewals, wanting to 'renew' a contract. Problem is, E.On isn't even our electricity supplier. When I told them that, they got all rude and then just hung up on me.

For three days straight, this bloke kept calling, saying he was from SCOTTISH POWER, wanting to check our info. We told him politely to send something in writing instead, but he just wouldn’t take no and kept ringing, getting quite rude each time! I got in touch with Scottish Power, and they said that number isn’t theirs. They’ve now filed a complaint about the number. I’ve also reported it to the ICO.

I’m not sure if the guy actually told me his name, but I could barely catch what he was saying through his thick Asian accent. He claimed to be calling from EON and said my contract was up for renewal. Kept going on about sending me a "welcome pack" and wanted my company info, which he obviously already had. I asked him what my last bill amount was and the bill number, and of course, he had no clue. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from a bloke named Paul claiming he was ringing on behalf of EON, asking to chat to the manager about renewing something. I told him we don’t use EON for our electricity. He kept pushing, asking who our supplier was, and I just said if he really worked for them, he’d already know. Then he wanted to "update his records" or something like that. I told him not to waste his time and not to call again. Bet he’ll try the same nonsense again in a few weeks, and I’ll give him the same answer!

Got loads of calls on the company phone from a bloke named Shaun Patrick, saying he’s with N Power and even gave me an extension number. Don’t trust him at all, he tried to get info from me. I rang back the number he gave, but it said the line was down. No doubt about it, total scammer alert.

This is now the third occasion I've been on the receiving end of these calls. During my initial conversation, I mistakenly revealed which electricity supplier I’m with, and now they keep phoning to verify my information, mentioning they want to send me a letter. When I inquired about the content of said letter, they claimed it pertains to my contract. They requested me to confirm certain details, which I refused to do. Subsequently, I reached out to my electricity provider, and it turns out these calls are definitely not coming from them! Quite the odd situation, if you ask me.

It seems that this number is linked to our electricity supplier, EON, which is odd as we don’t have any dealings with them. I tried to ring back an Indian chap who called me, but the number was unreachable. Feels like a scam to me!

Got a call today from someone named Sean saying he was with NPower. We've been getting loads of calls from these lot over the past few months, all trying to convince us to renew a contract with them, even though ours isn't up for renewal yet. I've asked them a bunch of times to take us off their list, but they just won't listen. The bloke was proper pushy and his accent made it hard to follow what he was saying. Honestly, I'm about fed up with these persistent calls - watch out for this one!

Got a call from a guy with a strong accent saying he was from BG and knew loads about our business. He mentioned our contract was due for renewal and wanted to confirm some details. At first, it sounded legit but then he asked for our bank info. I questioned him about it and he just ended the call straight away.

Got a call a few days back from someone saying they were from British Gas, but honestly, her accent was so thick I struggled to catch what she was saying and kept having to ask her to say it again. Since then, the same number rings me up nearly every week but there’s just silence when I answer. Today was mad - they rang me three times one after the other, and every time I put the phone down, it rang straight back again. Definitely don’t share any of your details with them.

I had this really pushy caller with a strong English accent that was hard to catch. He insisted on me spelling out both my name and my business name. When he then asked for my birthdate, supposedly to renew my electricity deal, I pointed out I'd never been asked for that info before. Got a call on my work line from someone saying they were with EON, trying to chat about renewing my energy contract before prices hike. When I told them I don't actually have a deal with EON, they acted like they didn't believe me and told me to double check my bills. I straight up said I know who my supplier is, and it's not EON. Then they asked what company I use, saying they wanted to update their records to avoid mistakes like this again. I wasn't giving that info, said it’s private, and they just said alright, goodbye, and hung up. Total scam. Blocked the number straight away.

I can’t say for certain if it's the exact same fake numbers, but this one has left me an answerphone message that lasted a good while, and I've had the same annoying calls from this call centre recently as well. Proper pain in the neck, these scammy cold calls have made my landline pretty much useless. I just let them ring out now and fingers crossed my mobile doesn’t start getting bombarded by these idiots too.

If it’s the same guy who phoned me last week, today he got it right by saying British Gas instead of Eon - he said his name was Sam Jordan, which sounds like a nickname for some long, fake name like Samjit Jordananan or something! He said he’d post me some papers about renewing, but I told him I’d handle the renewal myself and would call Scottish Power when I was ready to sort out a new deal. Proper scam artists, honestly.

Got a call at work and the guy started off saying he was with EON renewals, just spoke to me on reception. But then when he finally got to the manager, he changed it to British Gas and after that said something about UMA or OOMA, not sure which. Bit confusing if you ask me.

Similar experience here, I got a call from someone with a thick Asian accent working in a call centre. Oddly, they knew my address offhand, but struggled to say my postcode correctly using the phonetic alphabet. I've blocked the number now, and if anyone from that call centre sees this, well, that's on you. I never got as far as speaking about Eon since the caller threw in my actual company’s name, which was right. Anyway, Eon never had my mobile number to begin with.

When I asked who he was, he said his name was "John Smith" (and apparently doesn’t like beer) but his thick Asian accent made me doubtful. After pressing him a bit more, he finally confessed he was actually an energy broker!!!
