Haha, sounds proper legit doesn’t it? Then when I said I had my EON contract right there, he just ended the call. Total scammers, honestly!

I got a call from a firm named KM Communications, apparently located in India. They said they were representing UK Utilities Limited, which is an electricity supplier from Hartlepool. When I told them my calls are being recorded and that I'd report it to the proper authorities, they just ended the call. I’m planning to send the recording straight to OfGem.

It was almost amusing how easily you could rile him up-just twist his words and watch the show unfold, ha! When I asked for their address he said Princes Street but said the exact location was confidential. I told him if it’s that secret I might not want to proceed. I contacted Eon myself and they've set up a password for my account, so if anyone dares to call claiming to be them, they’ll have to provide the password. Can you believe it? Just had a rather amusing conversation with a fellow from Eon. He was quite earnest, insisting I needed to pay attention. "Listen here," he said, "your contract is on the verge of expiring, and this is no trifling matter!" "I'm not joking !!" he reiterated emphatically. Well, fast forward 15 minutes, after I mentioned we were operating from a managed office-he abruptly terminated the call. Quite the experience!

Eventually, a woman with what sounded like an Indian accent phoned up, posing as a client trying to book a hair appointment at my salon. She attempted to set up a direct debit for her appointments, but I informed her that we only accept cash. Upon hearing that, she promptly hung up. Curious, I called 1471 and discovered it was the same number that had been harassing me for my banking details. Isn't it a bit odd how the person ringing always seems to have a typical Western name? Loads of times I’ve had calls from supposed energy companies saying my electricity deal has run out and they’ll be sending me papers to renew (like EON, for example). Yeah right! Definitely not from EON. Not all of them are useless though, I enjoy giving them a bit of grief and poking fun at where they're from. They seem to get a kick out of it and never seem keen to hang up quick enough!

Got loads of calls from this number at work, always wanting to speak to the boss but won’t say who they actually are. Proper rude about it too, just hangs up as soon as you ask for their name.
