03450307252 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03450307252 👆 is reported as associated with both genuine and fraudulent activity. Several callers have impersonated UK banks such as Barclays, HSBC, and First Direct, attempting to extract sensitive information or prompt recipients to access their banking apps. Some users confirmed the number is used by John Lewis Financial Services for authentic fraud checks, often with call centres based overseas, which can cause suspicion due to accents and communication style. While genuine calls do occur regarding suspicious transactions, scammers frequently spoof the number or use it to conduct phishing attempts. Users are strongly advised to verify such calls independently by contacting their bank directly through official numbers on banking cards and avoid sharing personal or card details with unsolicited callers. Vigilance and double-checking are essential to avoid falling victim to fraud.

Got a call supposed to be from Barclays saying over £800 had been withdrawn from my account. The caller mentioned Scottish Power and something about Liverpool, also said they were going to send me an email - they somehow knew my email address. They wanted me to open the Barclays app on my phone while still on the call. Oddly, they kept using the term “cellphone,” which isn’t really used here in the UK, so that raised a red flag straight away. I told them I’d end the call and get in touch with Barclays myself. The call came from this number: 0345 030 3472.

Got a call today, 8th January 2026, from this number claiming to be from Barclays fraud team. They even gave a fake name. I was at work and told them I couldn't talk properly, but the person was really pushy, insisting it was urgent and that I should just log into my online banking. I kept saying no. Then they tried asking for the 12 digits on my debit card, and again I refused. I hung up. I later spoke to Barclays and they said it wasn’t them. Watch out, they can sound really believable!

I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be from HSBC's fraud department, asking me to ring them back. But when I phoned HSBC's official fraud team using the number on their website, they told me that none of their calls had come from that number. Definitely a scam!

Today I got a call from this number and, just like someone else here mentioned, they left me a voicemail and sent a text telling me to ring HSBC on another number that’s actually listed on their site. So I did, went through their security checks, and it turned out to be a legit call about a suspicious transaction that happened over the weekend. Everything got cleared up fine in the end.

HSBC: I missed the call as I didn’t know the number, but the person left a voicemail saying they were from HSBC’s Fraud team and asked me to ring them back urgently on a different number, which was unfamiliar to me. I also got a text message. Since the number wasn’t one I recognised, I phoned HSBC using the number on the back of my card. They told me the call and text were legit and explained you can’t return calls on that original number, only on the one they gave me in the voicemail.

Got a call from 03450307252. The bloke said he was with HSBC Fraud Team and was following up on a card transaction. I said I'd contact HSBC myself to verify. When I phoned, I spoke to the fraud department and they confirmed the call was legit and there was a real concern.

This number is definitely a scam. When I didn’t pick up, I got a text claiming to be from the HSBC fraud team, asking me to urgently ring 03456081878. I then called the number on the back of my bank card, and they told me HSBC hadn’t reached out to me at all and that the number was fake. Stay well clear and don’t say a word to them!

This number is definitely a scam. I missed the call and got a text saying it was HSBC’s fraud team asking me to ring 03456081878 straight away. I phoned the number on my actual bank card and they told me HSBC hadn’t tried to get in touch with me, so this number is fake. Best to just ignore and not engage with them at all!!

Like a few others have said, this call really was from John Lewis Finance. When I picked up, there was a bit of silence and the person on the line spoke with a thick Indian accent, which made me suspicious, especially since they didn’t ask me any security questions. Just before that, I'd had an online payment declined, then got that now usual prompt to approve the payment through the app. I’d already done that without any issues.

Based on what others have said, seems like this number really does belong to John Lewis. Still, I get a bit wary when I get calls from Indian or Asian numbers, cos a lot of them turn out to be scams. Don’t quite get why John Lewis would have callers from there though.

Really useful. Got a call from John Lewis Financial Services. I believe HSBC handles their 24/7 call centre, which I think operates out of the UK, India, and Canada. It was all fine, they were just verifying some potentially dodgy transactions. I don’t mind where the call comes from or the accent. They seemed to have solid procedures and were definitely looking out for their cardholders. Cheers John Lewis!

Someone rang saying they were from the John Lewis fraud department. Maybe it's a bit harsh, but since the person spoke with an Indian accent, I was a bit suspicious and thought it might be a scam. They kindly told me to ring the number on the card instead.

Got a call from 0345 0307252 earlier today. An educated lady with a strong Indian accent said she was from JL Fraud, but couldn’t answer the security question I asked. I thought it was a scam at first. When I called John Lewis Fraud (number on card), turns out she was legit. Really don’t get why JL use an Indian call centre that sounds so dodgy?

I didn’t really want to talk but I rang the number on my card anyway, and it really was a proper John Lewis Anti-Fraud team calling. Turns out someone tried using my card in the US via Samsung Pay. All sorted and cancelled now. Glad I checked!

The call was from John Lewis fraud section but it's run out of India. I managed to sort out a scam attempt by talking to them, but honestly I don’t like the fact that their fraud team isn’t in the UK. Plus, understanding the accent was kinda hard now and then. After this, I’m seriously considering switching to a different credit card for my main one.

Actually got a call from John Lewis Credit Card fraud team about a new payment authorisation I’d set for some online service. At first, it felt a bit suspicious, but once the lady explained the reason for the call, it was clear it was all legit.

Got a proper call from the Security team at John Lewis Financial Services. To make sure it was legit, I dialled the Fraud Department using a separate phone line. They were verifying some card transactions. The person who first called me sounded like they were overseas and spoke with a thick accent.

Someone said they were from John Lewis Financial Services about some strange charges on my card, but the way they spoke didn’t feel right, so I ended the call. I then looked at my bank statements and saw payments I didn’t remember, just like they said, so it seems it was a real call after all. Sorted it out by ringing the number on the back of my card.
