Got a message claiming to be from Lloyds bank saying I needed to call this number to shut down my account before a set date, or else I'd be hit with a bigger interest fee. Seems dodgy to me.

Be careful with this one. It might be some sort of scam, but there’s also a chance it’s a legit message from Lloyds customer service. Best thing to do is just ignore the text and ring Lloyds directly on the number found on the back of your card to check what’s really going on.

I received a message purporting to be from Lloyds Bank, stating something about a rise in interest rates on my credit card. They suggested that I could resolve the matter by calling this number they provided. Clearly, it’s a classic phishing attempt!

I received a rather odd message on my work phone requesting that I ring a certain number regarding my credit card. The peculiar thing is, my work number has never, at any point, been linked to my credit card. It’s all rather unsettling, to say the least!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank, said it was about interest rates going up. They gave me a number to call back if I wanted to chat about it. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

Got a phone call saying my credit card interest rates were about to rise. Problem is, I don’t even own a credit card, so I’m pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a ring from this number earlier. It was BT trying to convince me to switch over to their plans. Honestly, I wouldn’t bother with them - they’re the priciest out there when it comes to landline fees compared to everyone else.

Got a text claiming to be from Lloyds bank saying my credit card interest rate was going up. They said if I called this number I could keep the old rate. What freaked me out was that they actually had the last 4 digits of my card. That’s really creepy, watch out for this!

It's rather dodgy, isn't it? They claim my interest will increase, and yet they suggest I can settle my account just by ringing this number, despite the fact that I have no outstanding balance on my credit card. Quite perplexing, if you ask me!
