I got a letter supposedly from O2 saying there was some fraud activity on my account and telling me to ring 0344 847 1420, which they claimed was the O2 fraud department. I was suspicious straight away, so instead of calling that number, I dialled 202 from my phone to speak with O2 customer service directly. They told me that 0344 847 1420 isn’t an official O2 phone number at all. It’s pretty clear that this number belongs to scammers trying to steal personal info.

Someone said they were from O2 when they called.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with the O2 fraud department, saying there were two iPhones bought on my O2 account. They then sent a code to my phone to supposedly reset my SIM. I ended the call right after that. I reported it to O2 and they told me it was a scam. I've blocked the number now.
