03448090202 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 03448090202 👆 is reported as a frequently spoofed O2 customer service number targeted by scammers impersonating O2 or Virgin Media. Numerous users warn of persistent calls from foreign-accented individuals offering unbeatable discounts or phone upgrades, often requesting personal or security verification codes. These calls are linked to sophisticated scams involving unauthorised account access, fraudulent purchases, and SIM swaps, causing significant financial loss. While the number itself is genuine O2, it is commonly used by fraudsters to appear legitimate. Recipients urge caution, advising never to share security codes or financial details and to report suspicious activity to official channels like O2, Action Fraud, or the police. Blocking alone is ineffective due to the use of multiple spoofed numbers. Vigilance and prompt reporting are essential to help combat these pervasive scams.

Got a call from a man who said he was with o2, but I really struggled to catch what he was saying. The only thing I made out was something about o2 being alright and an iPhone? When I asked to talk to someone who spoke proper English, he just ended the call. Seems dodgy to me, especially since the last few times I’ve dealt with o2, the people had South African accents. Feels like a scam to me.

Got a ring from 03448090202 earlier, asking if my O2 stuff was alright. Told them I ain’t with O2 and they just dropped the call right away.

Got a call from a bloke who asked how I was, but never said who he was. When I asked, he just said something about 02. Told him I’m not with O2 and asked why he’d called, then he just cut off. Sounded dodgy to me, like a scam. I’ve blocked the number now. The voice was an Asian guy, by the way.

Got a text telling me I'd paid £115 successfully and to ring back on 202 or some other number. Thing is, I dont have that in my account and I’m not even with O2. Very fishy, definitely a scam.

The call showed as a legit Virgin Media O2 number, but I got an Asian voice asking me “how are you today,” which made me feel a bit iffy. Then it just hung up. I really don’t think it was a proper call from Virgin.

Got multiple calls on the same day from what looked like a legit O2 number, but it was someone pretending to be from O2 trying to get my card details. Super clever scam, don’t fall for it! If you’re with O2, best to report it straight away by texting 202. I ignored the calls and made sure not to give anything out.

Got a call saying it was O2 but something felt off, probably a scam. Don’t waste time, just block the number right away if you’re not an O2 customer.

Got a call from someone saying they were O2, but I haven’t had an account with them for ages. They were trying to discuss a phone number that’s never been mine, and when I asked about my account, they gave me a sketchy HTTP website instead of a proper secure HTTPS one. Definitely felt dodgy.

This number called me two times today claiming to be from Virgin Media O2, which is odd since I’m already with O2. I missed the first call in the afternoon. Later in the evening, I answered and said hello a couple of times, but the guy on the other end, who sounded Indian, just said hello once and then ended the call right away. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

So this lady called, sounded Indian and actually knew my name. She said she was from O2 checking if I was having signal problems. Thing is, I ditched O2 ages ago, lol. Ended the call pretty quick.

Got a dodgy call earlier from a woman claiming to be from O2 Virgin Media, asking if I was having problems with my O2 service. She then said I had some "great news" about being able to upgrade to a new iPhone. Thing is, I’m not even with Virgin Media, so I immediately knew it was a scam. I kept listening just to see what she’d say next. When she couldn’t even get my name right, I told her to buzz off and never ring me again because it was obviously a con. My advice? Don’t waste your time answering these calls. But if you do pick up, just tell them to shove off!

This was an actual O2 number, but scammers were faking it. Someone called, trying to convince me to upgrade my broadband and phone plan - which I don’t even have with O2 or Virgin Media. Honestly, it's shocking that big networks aren’t stepping up to stop this kinda number fraud more effectively.

If you’re trying to reach o2 or Virgin Media’s legit customer support to sort out a problem or maybe thinking about their plans like I was, this is the real number to call. It’s 100% genuine, not some dodgy spam call or anything like that.

Ignored unknown number and VoiceMail message left. Apparently genuine call from Virgin Media to check if home phone was working after recent switchover from traditional landline to broadband. That said, I've now had three of these calls, all from different numbers, which makes me even less likely to answer than before, so it's entirely possible that it's not genuine.

Got a call from this number earlier saying they were O2 and that they'd updated my address. The message said if I hadn’t requested it, ring them on 0344 809 0202 (free from mobile). Thing is, I’m pretty sure it’s not genuine because I switched my number to a Vodafone SIM just yesterday. Seems dodgy to me!

Beware, this is a total scam. I honestly believed I was speaking with EE as I searched online for their customer service number and this popped up. They somehow convinced me to switch to a new 02 contract and even arranged phone deliveries to my home. After that, they claimed it was an error and asked me to redirect the phones elsewhere. Just to be clear, I'm already an actual 02 customer with a legitimate lease.

Now I’m speaking with the genuine O2 customer service, plus the police and the fraud department, trying to figure out what to do next.

Heads up - this number has been reported involved in stealing personal info from O2 and Virgin Media users. I kept gettin’ calls, texts, and emails that looked like they came from these companies, telling me to ring their customer service at 0344 809 0202. But when I dialled, it just put me through to some London firm called Boyarsky Murphy Architects, with a 0207 388 3572 number. Seems really dodgy to me. I’ve told O2 and Virgin Media about it, but haven’t heard back if they’ve even acknowledged the problem or secured my details. Be careful!

Just odd that it popped up with a completely different company name... made me wonder what’s up with that.

I rang this number, found on O2's site, to report some spam texts I’d been getting. When it showed up on my caller ID, it said Boyarsky Murphy Architects. The person who picked up spoke with a strong Indian accent and said they were from O2. They then sent me a code and asked me to share it. I said no way, since the website clearly states they’d never ask for one-time passcodes.
