Got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft, telling me my PC had been hacked and they had to sort it out. Reckon they must've grabbed my details from the directory or something. They even threatened to cut off my internet if I ended the call. I just told them to go ahead! This was actually the second time I'd gotten that call.

I got a phone call from someone saying they're from Microsoft and that my PC was hacked. The lady on the phone wanted me to access my computer, but I told her no. Then she warned me that my computer would be shut down in half an hour. Seems like such a scam to me.

I received an automated telephone call purporting to be from BT, stating that my password had been compromised from various foreign locations. They ominously claimed they would be disconnecting my internet service and urged me to press 1 to speak with a BT technician. The same call came through again just a quarter of an hour later.
