Received a rather suspicious call from this number on my home phone at around 7 in the evening. The person on the other end didn’t bother to introduce themselves and proceeded to ask for my name, address, and date of birth. I asked who they were, but they just kept pushing for my details. Feeling quite uneasy about it all, I decided to end the conversation and hang up.

I’ve received loads of calls, texts and messages claiming I owe money for a pre-paid meter I’ve never had or gotten a key for. They won’t tell me which address they’re talking about, even though the place was sold about 8 months ago, so I’m guessing that’s the supposed debt. It turns out they even managed to track down my new address, as I got a letter that seems to be from SSE, reiterating the same demand mentioned in the email.
