1 monthThis number keeps ringing me up and even sent texts claiming to be LCS debt collectors working for Octopus Energy. Thing is, I don’t have an account with Octopus anymore and I’m not in any debt to them. I reached out to Octopus via email, told them what’s going on, and they said I don’t owe anything and that they’d get in touch with LCS to make them stop contacting me. Despite that, LCS have carried on calling me, so I’ve had to block the number now.LCSOctopus EnergyOctopus7 monthsI picked up the phone and got this recorded message saying it wasn’t urgent but that I should ring them back?? Turns out it’s LDS, a firm that handles debts mainly for energy providers. For me, it’s Octopus Energy. They’re not the nicest bunch, but they do try to sort things out. Still, they bombard you with texts, emails, and phone calls. One day, I had like six calls from them. I usually just block them and deal directly with my energy supplier instead.LDSOctopus Energy9 monthsGot a text from someone saying they were LCS debt collectors about an SSE energy bill... Weird thing is, I don't even have an SSE account or owe them anything. Definitely feels like a scam!1 yearGot a text from them, so I rang back and they said it was about a WaterPlus account. Thing is, it’s in my mum’s name and that account was shut down after she passed away three years ago. When I asked them for more info or how they got my number from the utility company, they wouldn’t tell me anything and just hung up on me when I pressed them.WaterPlus2 yearsGot a voicemail from someone claiming to be with LCS, ringing for Clear Vision about some business issue we supposedly have. I've never come across either LCS or Clear Vision and usually I just block calls like this outright. Still, since they actually left a message this time, I figured I'd hang on and see how it pans out. My plan is to let them ramble on while I keep working, then ask for the caller’s full name and let them know I’m recording everything for the fraud department. Typical scammy stuff, but I’m willing to hear them out first.LCSClear Vision2 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were with LCSDr and worked for EDF. Since EDF isn’t who I use, I was pretty sure it was dodgy.LCSDrEDF3 yearsReceived a dodgy call from someone purporting to be from a Youth Crime Prevention unit linked to the police. Definitely raising some red flags!Youth Crime Prevention3 yearsDefinitely a scam, looks well planned out. They sent me a fake electricity bill even tho I just rent a spot at the market and dont even have an electric meter registered to my name. Watch out for this. They use the same info all over, like LCS company www.LCSdr.com but tweak the last number of the phone to something like 0344543 9036 for payment. Pretty dodgy if you ask me!LCSLCSdr. com3 yearsTotal bunch of con artists.3 yearsI'm utterly fed up with these incessant nuisance calls! It's beyond ridiculous. I really wish they'd just quit it already!3 yearsGot two calls from this number earlier today, but each time I answered, there was just silence on the other end.3 yearsGot a call from some sort of call centre demanding money and asking me to settle up. Bit odd since I don’t owe a penny to anyone... I’d only recently changed my landline and only a handful of family members had the new number. When I asked the woman who called me where she got my number from, seeing as I’m ex-directory, she rudely said “I don’t need permission.” I then blew a loud police whistle right down the phone and she soon hung up. They called back later and got the exact same response. Total SCAM.Submit Your Own Report (0344 543 9036)
