I recently had a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be from BT, who went by the name of Steve Smith-totally suspect! He was insisting that he could “enhance” my internet connection by messing with my computer settings. Apparently, my husband had supposedly requested a technician due to some broadband issues, which is utterly baffling as that conversation never took place. This chap was all too eager, almost like a scam artist in disguise, and even provided me with an ID number to lend some air of legitimacy to his spiel. Honestly, he was quite the conman; it nearly had me fooled!
