I recently received a rather dubious letter from the post office claiming that someone has attempted to apply for a credit card under my name. The post office logo was barely visible, which raised my suspicions significantly. I have a strong feeling that this might be a scam.

Honestly, I reckon this is a Royal Mail scam. Trying to ring up Royal Mail to check is a nightmare, I could barely get through. Still, I’m pretty sure it’s dodgy and wouldn’t trust it.

I got hold of a letter claiming to be from the post office, requesting me to ring a specific number. Seems dodgy to me, so I'm steering clear of making that call!

I recently contacted Capital One, and they confirmed that there had been an attempt to fraudulently obtain one of their credit cards in my name. They were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the necessary steps to address the situation. I can assure you that the correspondence I received is legitimate.

I recently received a rather alarming letter from Capital One regarding credit card applications, marked "Urgent". The correspondence urged me to get in touch right away as someone had supposedly applied for credit in my name. Coincidentally, I had just acquired a new credit card from Zopa, who conducted a thorough check on my credit profile. Thankfully, Totally Money was on the ball as usual and notified me about it. I've also lodged a complaint with Trans Union regarding this. There seems to be a connection between these incidents, doesn’t there? Perhaps they are after my phone number or other personal information.
