Got a few calls from this number, but they never left a voicemail.

Received a rather curious text the other day, stating: "This is a crucial communication for xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Kindly ring Arvato on 0344 472 0965 and mention reference 0123456789 AFSSTOP 88440." Before I even considered making the call, I did a bit of digging online. Every source I came across indicated that this might be a scam. In my opinion, if it were truly imperative, they would have bombarded me with calls and messages rather than just sending a solitary text. So, I opted to disregard the message and promptly deleted it.

Left several messages on my answerphone - the last one was on 18th August 2021 (now the machine is full!) - something along the lines of "AFS - not a sales call - ref no 99999 - please get in touch" - obviously, I never replied!

Interestingly, I received a voicemail that mentioned 'EFS' or something similar, along with a reference number. It sounded rather robotic, a male voice claiming, “this is not a marketing call.” I’m quite baffled as to who or what this could be. Then, almost a fortnight later, they attempted to call again, but their voicemail was fully booked - talk about outdated technology!

Got an email from [email protected][###], with a ref number saying it's an urgent message from AFS. They wanted me to check my secure RISE notification on a link [#]my-rise[###]?id=5rBovDHe, or call 03444720965. They also asked if I’d like them to send a letter to a different address. Seems like they’re trying to get info in three ways - email, phone and address. I just deleted the message but watch out for these dodgy mails!

They rang me two times askin' for my daughter,

They ring me every morning around 10am but just drop the call if I pick up. I try answering to catch whoever it is, maybe have a laugh with them, but there’s never anyone there. I’m now looking into getting it blocked on my home phone.

This number keeps ringing me all the time. The first call was asking for a woman who isn’t me, I told them straight away it’s the wrong person and then they hung up. Since then, they keep calling every few days but only ring 3 or 4 times, and when I do pick up quickly, there’s nothing but silence. On top of that, I get texts daily from Arvato calling me by that same wrong name. It’s so frustrating and I can't find any proper way to complain about it!

No idea who owns this number. Got three voicemail messages from them on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The first one said something about calling EFS with a number and a reference code, and it mentioned it was a marketing call. Thought I’d look them up before calling back. To my knowledge, I dont owe anyone money, so after reading other comments, I dont think I’ll bother ringing them.

Kept phoning me from a number, telling me to call back using a special reference code! Rang my mobile first then hit up my landline right after! Wouldn’t say the reason, just that it was urgent to ring back. (Yeah, right NOT urgent!)

I got a robocall at first and just ended the call right away. After that, I got a message telling me to check out a website saying I owed Barclays some money that had to be paid straight away. I reached out through their website and told them to quit bothering me since I dont even have an account with Barclays!!

Blocked this number straight away. Got a letter with ARVATO's letterhead mentioning the same number, claiming I owed Barclays money. Rang Barclays and they confirmed I don’t owe a penny. They also checked the number the company uses and it's nothing like this one. Be warned, don’t answer any calls or letters referencing this number. It’s definitely a scam trying to fish info.

I've taken the step to block this number after being inundated with calls. Additionally, I received a letter from a company named ARVATO, urging me to contact them regarding a supposed debt to my bank. Upon reaching out to my bank, they assured me that I had no outstanding balance. Furthermore, they verified that the number listed in the letter was entirely different from their records. **For the love of all that’s good, do not engage with any calls or reply to letters featuring this number.** **It’s clearly a phishing scam!**

i called this number cos i kept getting texts telling me to call back with a name that wasnt mine. it went through to arvato but not sure if it’s really them. they said they’d stop messaging me but we’ll see if thats true. if they start up again it’s probably a scam. ive never heard of this company before the texts so yeah, just be cautious as im not really sure about it.

arvato fs keeps ringing non stop but always hangs up before I can pick up. I tried ringing them back but only got some automated message that didn’t make any sense. Today alone I got 9 calls on my mobile, 3 on my home phone and also a text with a reference number. If it’s really important they need to explain what’s going on properly and maybe send a proper letter instead of just calling all the time.

Got a call from 3444720965 at 11:22 this morning - didn’t pick up but they left a voicemail with some sort of unique code to mention if I ring back! They said it wasn’t a sales call but didn’t say who they were, so I’m not bothering to return the call since I never asked for this. Arvato keeps ringing for just a couple of seconds and then stops, never letting the phone ring long enough. If you pick up, it’s dead quiet and no-one says anything before the call ends, which feels like one of those auto dialler things. They never leave a voicemail or explain why they’re calling. Proper annoying. Sometimes I get a text after saying they tried to call, but there’s no way to reply and honestly, it doesn’t seem like they really tried to get hold of me at all.
