Received a call late last night, around 10 in the evening, supposedly from Co-Operative Bank. Seems highly suspicious.

Steer clear of this one; it’s definitely a scam!

Someone rang me claiming to be called Martin Eastwood from the Cooperative Bank's Fraud Department. Turns out, he wasn’t who he said he was. He told me there were suspicious transactions on my account and asked if I’d authorised them. He sounded quite believable and even knew some personal details. Please don’t give out any more info to anyone like this - always ring your bank back using their official number. Also, this bloke tried ringing me using a hidden number, so be careful!

Got a call from someone saying they were from the cyber security department at Co-Op bank. The guy said his name was ‘Jonathan’, but that was about all I got out of him. I just ended the call and alerted the bank right after.

Got a call from this number the other evening. The person on the line seemed genuine enough, but I ended the call because no business has ever rung me that late, around half past eight. Later, I saw on this site that it's likely a scam linked to the co-op bank. Cheers to this site for the heads-up!

Got tricked by scammers pretending to be from Co-op Bank. They used the bank’s real phone number and sounded so genuine that I ended up giving them my info. I contacted Co-op later and updated my security details, but by that time, they’d already switched the address on my account to 21 Kidbrooke Park Close, London SE3 0EF through their online chat. Be careful, folks!

The caller claimed to be from the co-op bank, and the number they used matched the actual bank’s, so I guess they’ve got the tech to fake the caller ID. Still, something felt off about it. He told me my phone number and address had supposedly been changed, and he was calling to check if I’d done that. He also wanted to confirm all my other info was right. When I told him I wasn’t convinced he was really from my bank, he just hung up on me!

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be my bank. They said there had been dodgy attempts to set up direct debits from a place that didn’t match my usual area. They talked me into opening a “secure” account and moving some money there so it would be protected from fraud. I shifted a bit of cash before I realised it was all a con. The bloke was super convincing. The number they called from was actually listed on the bank's official website as a contact number - sneaky tactic. Definitely block this number!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the Co-op Bank, saying some bloke named Mohammed Iqbal in London had supposedly set up direct debits for Vodafone and the Carphone Warehouse on my account. They didn’t ask me any proper security questions and seemed to struggle even saying the name of my town right. The caller said his name was Stephen Rowe. He offered to cancel my card and send me a new one, and said he’d boost the security level on my account from 2 to 6. Also mentioned that the FCA would cover any losses if money went missing. He even gave me something to google to "prove" he was legit, which sounded convincing at first. But as soon as he got pushy and started asking how many accounts I had, I tried to end the call. Afterwards, I rang my bank and found out it was a scammer using a cloned phone number.

I recently received a call from this number, claiming that there were two transactions trying to be withdrawn from my bank account. The caller then proceeded to request that I answer some security questions, beginning with my date of birth. I firmly told him that I wouldn’t be providing any information, stating that it sounded suspiciously like a scam. After that, I promptly ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Coop Bank's fraud team, saying there was some dodgy stuff going on with my account. I decided to look up the number online and found out it was linked to the bank's privilege account perks, but nothing about any fraud team. Honestly, these lot are proper slimy! 🐍

Someone rang, pretending to be from the fraud team at the Co-operative Bank, claiming there was an attempt to get loans from Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse in my name. They asked me to get my mum out of the room so I was alone. As soon as I told them the tiny amount I had in my account, they just ended the call. They were definitely fishing for my details to steal money, but since I had barely anything, they lost interest. Honestly, one of the slickest scams I've encountered - nearly got caught if I'd been paid already! Thank goodness I hadn't.

This number rang me claiming there were strange direct debits being taken from my bank account, with odd amounts that didn’t seem right. The guy went on about when and where these had supposedly been set up but refused to give me a callback number when I said I couldn’t get my bank statements to check with them. I’ve informed my bank about it just in case anything dodgy happens with my money. BE WARNED, THIS IS A FRAUDULENT CALL TRYING TO GET YOUR BANK INFO.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from the Co-op Bank about a 'fraud' I'd supposedly fallen for. It was pretty obvious they were trying to con me because they didn’t ask for any real security info and messed up a lot of details. Honestly, they’re fraudsters, just not very clever ones.
