Received a call late last night, around 10 in the evening, supposedly from Co-Operative Bank. Seems highly suspicious.

Steer clear of this one; it’s definitely a scam!

Someone rang me claiming to be called Martin Eastwood from the Cooperative Bank's Fraud Department. Turns out, he wasn’t who he said he was. He told me there were suspicious transactions on my account and asked if I’d authorised them. He sounded quite believable and even knew some personal details. Please don’t give out any more info to anyone like this - always ring your bank back using their official number. Also, this bloke tried ringing me using a hidden number, so be careful!

This particular number is indeed associated with the Co-Op. Strangely enough, the individual on the line claimed to represent John Lewis Card Services. Quite odd, wouldn't you agree?

Got a call from this number the other evening. The person on the line seemed genuine enough, but I ended the call because no business has ever rung me that late, around half past eight. Later, I saw on this site that it's likely a scam linked to the co-op bank. Cheers to this site for the heads-up!

Someone called me saying they were from Coop Bank but it was clearly a dodgy number. They pretended to be David or something. Definitely looked like a scam to me. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else gets the same call!

Got tricked by scammers pretending to be from Co-op Bank. They used the bank’s real phone number and sounded so genuine that I ended up giving them my info. I contacted Co-op later and updated my security details, but by that time, they’d already switched the address on my account to 21 Kidbrooke Park Close, London SE3 0EF through their online chat. Be careful, folks!

Yet another dodgy character claiming to be from the Co-Op's fraud division got in touch, insisting that my current driving situation necessitated a callback. Naturally, I reached out to my bank to verify the claim, and sure enough, it was just another scam. Such a hassle! 😩😩😩

I received a call from someone claiming to be with the Cooperative Bank, and they sent me a text while we were chatting. It was supposedly regarding cybersecurity, asking me to enter some personal details. I thought better of it, hung up, and promptly blocked the number.

The caller claimed to be from the co-op bank, and the number they used matched the actual bank’s, so I guess they’ve got the tech to fake the caller ID. Still, something felt off about it. He told me my phone number and address had supposedly been changed, and he was calling to check if I’d done that. He also wanted to confirm all my other info was right. When I told him I wasn’t convinced he was really from my bank, he just hung up on me!

Got a phone call from someone claiming to be my bank. They said there had been dodgy attempts to set up direct debits from a place that didn’t match my usual area. They talked me into opening a “secure” account and moving some money there so it would be protected from fraud. I shifted a bit of cash before I realised it was all a con. The bloke was super convincing. The number they called from was actually listed on the bank's official website as a contact number - sneaky tactic. Definitely block this number!

I had an unsettling experience recently when I received a call purportedly from the Coop Bank. The chap, claiming to be ‘Mohammed Iqbal’ from London, informed me that direct debits had been set up in my name for Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone. Strangely, he didn’t ask any security questions and struggled to pronounce the name of my town correctly. He introduced himself as ‘Stephen Rowe’, and tried to persuade me to let them cancel my card and issue a new one. Curiously, he mentioned he could elevate my account’s security level from 2 to 6, and even claimed that the FCA would refund any lost funds. While he provided a Google search link to back his claims, things took a turn when he became increasingly pushy, insisting I disclose how many accounts I held, despite my attempts to end the conversation. After ringing my actual bank, they swiftly confirmed it was a scammer using a cloned number.

I recently received a call from this number, claiming that there were two transactions trying to be withdrawn from my bank account. The caller then proceeded to request that I answer some security questions, beginning with my date of birth. I firmly told him that I wouldn’t be providing any information, stating that it sounded suspiciously like a scam. After that, I promptly ended the call.

Received a call from someone purporting to be from the fraud division of the Coop Bank, alleging there was dubious activity on my account. I did a quick search on the number, and while it seemed to link back to the bank and its perks, it had no affiliation with their fraud team at all. What a bunch of conniving individuals! 🐍

Received a call supposedly from the fraud department of the Co-operative Bank. Someone was trying to acquire a loan from Vodafone and Carphone Warehouse. They asked my mum to step out for a moment so I’d be left alone. As soon as I revealed my pitiful bank balance, they abruptly cut the call. Clearly, they were after my details to plunder my account, but upon realising I had very little to offer, they hung up. It was the most audacious scam attempt I've encountered yet. I almost took the bait, but thankfully, payday hadn’t arrived!

They asserted that they had spotted some direct debits appearing on my bank account, asserting that the amounts were rather peculiar. There's absolutely no chance this was genuine. It definitely smelled like a scam!

This number rang me claiming there were strange direct debits being taken from my bank account, with odd amounts that didn’t seem right. The guy went on about when and where these had supposedly been set up but refused to give me a callback number when I said I couldn’t get my bank statements to check with them. I’ve informed my bank about it just in case anything dodgy happens with my money. BE WARNED, THIS IS A FRAUDULENT CALL TRYING TO GET YOUR BANK INFO.
