Looking up the number here, it’s clearly a scam and has been reported multiple times over the past six years, with nearly 25,000 searches against it. Honestly, if I knew how to do a reverse hack, I’d love to take these scammers down for good. Anyone out there with the know-how, you’d really be doing me a favour!

Got loads of calls from dodgy numbers, with people pretending to be all sorts - from banks to charities, even saying I’d won some competition or had import taxes to pay. Each time it was a different bloke or woman, trying hard to get my bank details. Told it was urgent but just pure scams to nick money. Been leaving me messages non-stop. I’ve blocked that number and others like it now. Definitely nothing legit, just typical scam rubbish.

I saw a missed call and thought it might be a scam, but I decided to ring back anyway. When I gave my name, they said nothing was registered under it. Then I tried using my maiden name, and that’s when it clicked for them. Turns out, my aunt who lived abroad passed away and left me some jewellery. Her friend sent it over yesterday, and the person on the phone gave me all the info I needed, so it feels legit. They mentioned if I can share a copy of the will that confirms the jewellery is mine, I wouldn’t need to pay any duties, so everything sounds proper to me.

Got a call from these lot today and it was really creepy how they knew what I’d bought recently. They wanted me to pay a tax supposedly from HMRC, which felt off straight away. They mentioned my package was being sent via DHL from Hong Kong, but I never got any email or tracking info from DHL at all. Beware of a scam call from people pretending to be "DHL International". Don’t fall for their payment demands and don’t trust anyone saying it’s legit. They rang our office today claiming we had unpaid fees. That’s impossible since we don’t send parcels abroad or use DHL at all. They’re spoofing the number to make it look genuine. If you’re worried, just go straight to the official DHL website and use their contact info to check if any charges are valid - they won’t be. This number really is from DHL’s customs and taxes department. I ordered a lamp from lightinthebox.com and didn’t know they sent stuff from abroad. Because of that, I had to pay about 30% extra for import duties and DHL's handling fees. I called DHL myself and they confirmed the call was legit. I reckon a lot of folks leaving bad feedback probably bought something online but didn’t realise they’d have to cover customs charges on top of the original price.

This number truly belongs to DHL Shipping and their VAT department.
