Got a call from 03438165087 earlier today, they were trying to sell me some mobile contract. When I asked what to do next, they quickly said they’d transfer me to billing and I had to pay £53 straight away. Definitely a scam. Blocked the number now.

Got a call from this number earlier today, the bloke said who he was working for but I couldn’t catch it properly. He repeated himself and said Carphone Warehouse. Then he went on about some mobile deals they’ve got right now. I quickly told him no thanks and ended the call. I’m not a customer there and never gave them my permission to call. I’m also signed up with the TPS.

The offer looked just believable enough, not too perfect to ignore. The scammers were awful at English and way too generous - they even promised me three phones and a couple of Apple Watches as some sort of goodwill gift. Total scam.

Weird accent, and right after we said hello, I told him straight up I wasn’t interested in buying anything - no insurance or whatever. Got a call saying they were with Carphone Warehouse, which I've never dealt with before. Then they switched to saying they were from EE, also not a company I've used. When I asked where they got my number from since I'm not a customer, they just called me a liar and ended the call.
