I picked up and a woman immediately asked if she was talking to just my last name - no hello, no sir or madam, just my surname. I then replied, “Is this (my surname) you mean?” and she just ended the call straight away!

Didn’t pick up, no voicemail left and number isn’t saved anywhere in my phone. Looked it up here and looks like a scam call. Blocked it straight away. This is the second time today I’ve had a call from almost the same number, just one number off.

Got a call but it was just one of those intercepted things, no voicemail or anything. Thought I’d check here to see if anyone else had the same experience ⛔️

Got a call saying I've won 500 quid from some bingo lottery, but I don't even mess about with bingo games. Total spam, really annoying! 😤😠

Got a call claiming I’d won 10 lucky dips and asked if I still lived at our previous address. When I said I’d moved, the caller quickly offered to send them to my new place. Even when I kept saying I wasn’t interested, he kept insisting it was simple to arrange. After telling him multiple times I wasn’t interested, he snapped that I was missing a great deal. I ended the call before he could say any more.

This bloke said he was from the National Lottery and already knew my name and where I lived. He sounded Liverpudlian and told me he’d be posting 6 free scratch cards to me. Then, out of nowhere, the call just dropped and I never heard from him again. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number and flagged it as a scam.

Got a lovely friendly lady on the phone saying she’s from the national lottery and that I’d bagged 10 free game entries. She then asked what I’d do if I actually won a big jackpot and tried to pitch me on buying more tickets regularly. I mentioned she was so pleasant I might even invite her to celebrate a win together, but in the end, I refused the tickets and told her nicely I reckoned it was a bit of a con before hanging up.

I didn’t pick up as it was a screened number, but I immediately looked it up on here - honestly, this site is a total godsend. Cheers!

Got a ring from 03338808397 just now. Didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number, and I ended the call when it switched to voicemail. Checked this site afterwards and saw it’s linked to a scam. Seems like this one’s back on the loose again.

Watch out, got a call today from someone saying I’d won some lottery lucky dips. They even knew my full name and address, right down to my postcode! The chat was all friendly at first, asking what I’d do with 7 million and all that. But as soon as I told them I wasn’t comfortable giving out personal info on the phone, they suddenly ended the call. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

I've had this number calling me loads, missed a couple of calls thinking it was someone important from PIP. It’s really frustrating, kept me on edge for nothing! Gonna just block and delete the number now. Big thanks to everyone who confirmed it’s a scam - saved me loads of hassle.

They gave me a name and address and offered to send me 10 tickets for free. Then they asked if I wanted to sign up for tickets at 5p per line, but I just said no. That was that, conversation ended there.

I’m down in South Wales and got a call from this number but no one spoke when I picked up. Not sure what it was about, but after checking on here, looks like it’s linked to scams. I don’t do any gambling or lottery stuff so it’s a bit strange. If they ring again, I’ll likely just block or ask to be taken off their list. Hate these annoying spam calls so much!

My mum got a call from someone saying she’d won some free lucky dips and a discount on her lottery line for three months. They even knew her name, address, and the lottery games she plays! Then they wanted her bank details for a direct debit. I grabbed the phone and told them straight up it was a scam. The bloke got proper annoyed, insisting it was legit and they’d been doing it for a decade. Just watch out, they sound really friendly at first but it’s all about getting your info and cash.

Got a call from someone with a northern twang claiming to be from the national lottery. He seemed to know my name and where I live, saying I had 10 free tickets being sent to me. We had a bit of a laugh and a chat for a while. But as soon as I asked if I could find more details on their website, cos I usually play with a syndicate, he just hung up on me.

I got a call from 03338808397 saying I’d won some money with the national lottery. They asked for my details, and since I’d recently won a small amount, I thought it was for real. I gave them my address and date of birth, but thankfully not my bank info. Looking back, it was pretty obvious it was a con, cos the real lottery wouldn’t ask for that stuff. Feels daft now. Proper worrying these scammers are so sneaky.

My missus got a call from someone saying she’d won 10 free lottery tickets or something like that. There was loads happening in the background noise, which made it hard to understand. She just politely declined and hung up straight away.

I live in Northern Ireland. Some bloke rang from Manchester, claiming he was with a lottery, offering 10 free tickets and trying to get me to join some new game. He asked for my sort code and bank details to send over a direct debit form. I told him I’d just popped out to my son’s footie match and didn’t have anything on me. When I said I don’t use online banking, he got all pushy and said I’d wasted his time before hanging up. Honestly, no idea how I wasted his time when it took him like 8 minutes to explain what he actually wanted!

I got a call the other day from someone asking for my wife specifically, even tho it’s my number. Then they said I could win 10 free lucky dips or something like that. When I told them we don't do any gambling, they just said alright then and that they’d offer it to someone else on my street! Weird thing is, how do they even know my phone number AND where I live? Feels a bit creepy if you ask me.

It was a lottery scam phone call. I answered and made it clear my number is ex-directory and they shouldn’t be ringing me, as it’s against the law to call blocked numbers. I told them I wasn’t interested and asked to be taken off their calling list, but they just kept pestering me. Either they can’t understand English or they just ignore what you say. Really frustrating!

He called me up and sounded well chatty, even used my house postcode and name which felt a bit off. Said I could win 10 free entries or something, even though I barely ever play. Seemed a bit too nice for my liking.

Got a call promising 10 lucky dips, claiming I'd receive 90 Euromillions entries plus nearly 1000 lottery tickets every month for just £56. They even knew my name and a previous postcode. Then out of nowhere, they wanted my bank info. Definitely a scam!

Got a call from someone who said they had my name and told me I’d won 5 free tickets for the national lottery. They asked me to verify my address so they could send the prize to me. They said I qualified because their records showed I enter often. Thing is, I haven’t played the lottery in like 30 years and never used the internet for it, so I hung up straight away.
