I got a letter from Next Pay saying I'd set up an account with them, which I definately hadn't done. I rang Next using a phone number I found on their official website and they transferred me to their fraud department. Seems like someone tried to open an account pretending to be me and make purchases. They managed to fix the problem. If you happen to get a letter like this, I'd suggest giving Next a call straight away.

It's still happening.. Got the same dodgy letter today (14/05/24). Rang Next's real number 0333 777 8901 (not the one on the letter) and found out their fraud team already spotted my account as fishy. Because my name can be for any gender, the scammer used Mx instead of Mr, Mrs, or Miss. They didn’t know what to put! I called them straight away and luckily no transactions went through. They cancelled the account and I’m not responsible for anything. Big thanks to Ali from the Next Fraud team for sorting this out so well.

This scam is definitely still going around. I got a letter from NextPay with this number on it. When I rang up NextPay using their official customer care number, they put me through to their Fraud team who then cancelled the dodgy agreement I hadn’t signed.

I just got a letter in the mail regarding my next payment, indicating that a store card is on its way to me. The peculiar thing is, I've never requested such a card!

The number on the letter really is from the Fraud Department at Next. I called the main customer service number from their official site just to be sure, and after speaking to customer support, I was directed to the same fraud team. Apparently, someone set up an account using info taken from other companies, but Next caught it and shut down both the account and the order linked to it.

Watch out, the number 03337778234 is connected to identity theft scams. I rang 03337778000 straight after (seen it on the Next website) and got passed through to their fraud team. Turns out, I spoke to the same person just a few minutes before at the other number. They sorted the problem right away and also put my address on a special list so next time they’ll call me first to confirm if I’m opening any accounts. Definitely ring one of these numbers asap to fix things!

Got this letter through the post about a credit agreement I never signed up for, and the phone number on it was 03337778234 claiming to be from NEXT PLC. Seemed pretty sketchy to me, so I’m going to ring my bank straight away to check it out!

Got a letter from 'next pay' saying I signed some credit deal for £3,000, but I’ve never heard of it or filled anything out. The letter says if you have questions, you can ring 03337778234 - it’s a landline. Strange and worrying!

Yesterday I got a letter through from NEXTpay about a credit card I never applied for. I rang up their customer service today and they handled everything really well. Their fraud team had already spotted it was dodgy business and cancelled the account straight away. Looks like someone made a small purchase but obviously that’s not on me. Total scam, watch out for this kind of thing.

The other day my mum got that exact letter too. I’m really tempted to call the number and tell them exactly what I think of their cheek!

I got a letter about a credit agreement from NextPay that I never asked for. Don’t call the phone number they include, it’s not actually Next - it’s a scam, and Next know about it. I phoned Next’s fraud team on 0333 777 8000 and within ten minutes they’d looked into it and fixed everything. Luckily, because I acted quick, none of my funds were taken and they blocked the account linked to the scammer.

Just got a letter from Next - ring 0333 777 8903 and tell them about the letter, give them your customer number. Someone’s nicked your info - you gotta act fast before they go and buy £900 worth of stuff using your name and pick it up near you, which could mess up your credit rating.

Got a letter through the post from 03337778334 claiming I’d supposedly opened an account. Looks like another scam trying to get me to pay up. Best advice - don’t call or respond to them at all. They’re just fishing for personal info. If you wanna check, just find the real customer service number online and ring them instead. Stay safe!

Got a dodgy letter claiming it was from Next Pay, but I never asked for any card or been to one of their shops this year. I surely didn't do anything online with them either. This world’s full of scammers nowadays, so watch out everyone.

This is definitely a scam. I got a letter about some credit deal, but I never applied for anything like that. The letter said if I wanted to cancel the card, I should phone the number they provided. At the same time, I got some parcels from Next that I didn't order at all. I reached out to Next, and they confirmed it was a fraud.

I recently came across a rather strange letter purporting to be a credit agreement from 'Next', and it even included what looked like my digital signature. The thing is, I've never signed up with them or had any dealings with their services, which immediately raised a red flag for me. Naturally, I did a bit of digging online and discovered that this number has been flagged by many others. It seems to me that I’ve stumbled upon a scam in the making.

Today I got a letter from Next saying I have a credit agreement with them and it had a digital signature on it. The thing is, I never opened any account with them! I'm thinking this might be a scam or maybe someone’s used my identity? After reading some of the other comments here, I’m really starting to panic.

Avoid ringing 0333 777 8234 at all costs. I received a letter from Next claiming I'd applied for a credit card, with this number listed on it. When I rang to say I hadn’t made the application, they started requesting more personal info. That’s when it clicked it was a scam, and they were just fishing for my details. The person on the other end claimed they’d report it for me, but I soon realised they weren’t from Next at all and ended the call. Don’t call this number or share any details - they’re clearly attempting to steal your identity for fraud.

A letter arrived at my place about opening a Next account, saying I supposedly signed some credit agreement online. Pretty sure it’s a scam trying to fool you into ringing that number so they can grab your details. I’m just going to ignore it altogether.
