Today my mum spotted a £300 charge on her credit card from Smart Secure Services, which she didn’t recognise at all. She never heard of them and definitely didn’t expect any bill from them. There’s been no documentation or anything sent to her by these people. After a quick look online, I found out Smart Secure Services is actually connected to AZS Holdings. She’s already contacted her credit card company's fraud team to sort this out.

Back in April 2019, my mum got a letter from a company called AZS Holdings, saying thanks for arranging a quarterly direct debit for £18.75, with the first payment taken on 8 March 2019. The weird thing is, mum died a year before that! I've never heard of AZS Holdings before and have no clue how this came about. I've tried reaching out to them but no luck so far. I did manage to get in touch with Interbacs, who have now stopped the direct debit, and they told me they’d investigate what’s going on.

I got a letter from AZS Holdings Ltd saying thanks for picking them to "guard" me against scam emails and spam calls. The contract number they gave is 03337331553. When I phoned them, I ended up on someone's mobile voicemail. They say it’s £75 a year, with a direct debit set to be taken on 11th April. I have absolutely no clue who these people are and don’t want any involvement with them. Honestly, not sure what my next move should be.

Got a letter from AZ Holding as well, saying thanks for agreeing to pay £18.75 monthly with the first payment due on 9th April. I rang my bank straight away to stop the direct debit, but they warned me the company could just restart it whenever they want, which is pretty worrying. Tried calling the number on the letter and it just goes to a voicemail for a mobile phone, so no luck reaching anyone.

So, I just got this letter from AZS Holdings Ltd, thanking me for picking their service to 'shield' me from scams, dodgy emails, and annoying marketing calls. They gave me a contract number, 03337331553. When I rang them up, it ended up going to a mobile voicemail. They say it’s £75 a year and that they’ll be taking a direct debit on the 11th of April. The thing is, I don’t know these people at all and don’t want any part of it. Honestly, not sure what my next step should be.

My dad got a letter from AZS Holdings saying they'll start taking money straight from his account in April. I tried calling the number they gave, but it just forwarded me to a mobile whose voicemail is full. We’ll be cancelling the direct debit with the bank just to be safe. Dad has no idea who these lot are and definitely never gave them any bank details.

My mum received a letter from these lot too. She went straight to the bank and stopped the direct debit. We rang the police, who said they're aware but advised us to get in touch with Action Fraud instead. I've also sent them an email asking for evidence of this alleged phone call where my mum supposedly gave out her bank details. It’s a proper request under the Freedom of Information Act, so they have to respond.

Just got a letter from AZS holding company too, saying pretty much what everyone else mentioned here. I looked at my online banking and saw a direct debit for £18.95 was set to come out in early April. I've now stopped the direct debit because I have no clue who this company is or how they managed to get my bank info. Bit worrying, honestly.

Got this letter too, and the bank told me to ring that number, but it strikes me as dodgy since they probably want you to read out your full card details... Definitely don’t call it, could be some crazy pricey number! Watch your direct debit closely to see if anything goes through, and if so, give your bank a buzz - direct debit cover should sort you out.

Hey Chris, just got a letter like that today (23/03/19). I’m not sure how they got hold of my bank info but it’s pretty worrying. I’m gonna tell my bank about it because it seems fishy. Cheers, Chris

I received a letter through the post from some firm called azs holdings limited. It thanks me for setting up a direct debit with them to "protect you uk." They say they’ve accepted my direct debit info and want to confirm it’s all correct, plus there’s a payment schedule included. The weird thing is, I never signed up for anything like this or even knew who they were. What’s more bizarre is they have my old bank account number but somehow managed to get my current sort code right. Has this ever happened to anyone else? - Chris
