This estate planning company has been pretty solid from what I've seen - they even got named firm of the year and their lawyer took the award for trusts and estates. I’ve only ever received calls from them when they needed me to sort out some documents. Super professional all round.

Like some others said, it’s one of those will writing services. What puzzled me was that I spotted an ad on Facebook and began entering my info, but because it’s Facebook and you never really can be sure, I didn’t actually send the form off - still, they rang me anyway! Bit odd if you ask me.

If you’re thinking about sorting a will (which you really should), it’s best to visit a proper solicitors firm with a qualified solicitor who knows the latest laws and court rulings on wills and any disputes. Stay away from paralegals for this. This place looks a bit dodgy to me.

So they go by Simply Law. I replied to their ad on FB and the bloke on the phone seemed really chill and quite clued up. Was ready to proceed till they wanted me to pay over £40 upfront before sending any papers. No way mate, I’m gonna see a local solicitor and pay a bit extra instead. I’ve now blocked their number.

Even though they’re officially registered, all they do is take the official "Legal Power of Attorney" forms from Gov.uk (which you can download for free) and then charge you £150 to file it - when it actually only costs £82. It’s like they just take advantage of vulnerable older people who get anxious about these sort of things.
