I got a call from a supposedly Lloyds bank scammer claiming that £860 had been withdrawn from my account without permission. They told me to phone that exact number if I hadn’t approved the transaction.

Last night, I received a message pretending to be from NatWest, saying that just under £750 had been taken from my account without my permission. The message told me to ring 03335672924 if I hadn’t authorised the withdrawal. Although suspicious, I rang the number anyway. A man who called himself Jonathan answered, sounding quite polished. After a bit of chat, he asked for my card details. When I refused to give him the CVV, his tone suddenly turned nasty and he started getting irate. I hung up straight away and contacted NatWest directly. Turns out, it was a total scam.

Got this number in a text that said it was from NatWest but it was clearly spam. I checked with the bank, and they said it’s not connected to them at all.
