I got a call from this number, and at first I thought it was my solar provider, but turns out it wasnt them. A guy turned up saying I needed a new converter costing 3 grand, said my old one was useless and could even start a fire if I kept using it. He asked loads of personal stuff too. I said I would think about it and he left. After he went, none of my solar panels worked.

I rang a local solar firm and a nice lad came round to check it out. He climbed up, had a look at the setup and came back down quickly to tell me the first guy had actually switched my converter off. Honestly, it was fine and he assured me there was no risk of fire.

I'd avoid that number, they're scammers I reckon, maybe calling themselves Silver Solar Solutions or something. Proper con artists!
