Got two calls from this number earlier today. Couldn't really make out the company name. I answered the second one by mistake, and a bloke with a foreign accent said he knew my name. He kept interrupting me in a pretty rude way, so I just ended the call. Wouldn't recommend picking up if it rings for you!

I rang Swinton to ask about a direct debit but when I looked up the number afterwards it was different, it was 0333 443 2892. I didn’t share any details about my account with them.

Got a call from these lot saying they found my number from some gas and electric enquiry, which I never made! Probably an old partner gave it to them or it’s some dodgy third party doing annoying surveys! I asked the woman what areas they cover since she said they were calling about my local area, but she only mentioned West Midlands and I’m nowhere near there. I've blocked the number now.

0333 433 2892 rang me, but I didn’t pick up. Just another pesky scam call. Every day it seems like there’s a new number to add to the blocked list. These foreign scammers are so persistent. I’ve blocked about 60 numbers on my mobile and 32 on my landline in just the last fortnight. I’m worried about how many more are still out there! They’re ruthless, taking advantage of elderly and vulnerable people. No shame at all with these pathetic parasites. The phone companies really need to do something to stop these calls getting through in the first place!

Got a call on my personal mobile, they used my full name and had a real chatty tone, saying they were from Hardys legal and it was all for my own good, like I’m some daft old lady. I politely told him thanks but I wasn’t interested and asked him to take my number off any lists he had. He ended up swearing at me so I just hung up. Feels quite worrying as they seem to be targeting property owners who might be anxious about expenses they could face down the line.

Somebody rang my elderly parents out the blue, asking about what plans they'd made for their house. When mum said it was all going to family, the caller insisted the laws had changed and that wasn’t allowed now. They even offered to pop round the next day to “sort everything out” for them. Luckily, I noted down the number and looked it up before calling back to cancel the visit. When I told the guy why, he got nasty and just shouted down the phone before hanging up. That was enough for me!

Just got a call from this number. The person said my husband requested the call. When I said it’s my phone, she called me and my husband liars. Then she told me to stop being rude and said she’d call back when he’s home. No chance, I blocked her number. Who talks like that as a first reaction? She sounded really pushy and unfriendly.

I just received a rather unsettling call from a woman who claimed my husband requested to be contacted by her organisation, which she called First Response. Naturally, I informed her that my husband wouldn’t have asked for anything via my phone. To my surprise, her tone shifted dramatically, becoming quite confrontational as she chastised me for being impolite and insisted she would keep ringing back until he responded. The way she spoke made it seem as though my husband had been dishonest, which really riled me up. It's absolutely appalling how they engage with people - something really ought to be done about this.
