They said an engineer would need to come out for the installation and wanted me to confirm my details. When I asked for my house number, she claimed she couldn’t see it. So, I gave her a fake name and address, which she then confirmed was right. I told her flat out it was a scam and told her to jog on before putting the phone down.Sky1 yearGot a call on my home phone, and the bloke started off by calling me by my first name. Then he claimed he was with Sky Broadband, offering to set up an engineer visit to upgrade my connection to full fibre. I asked him what the charges would be, but he just dodged the question and said he needed to do some security checks to verify my identity.
