This number kept ringing my home phone about four times today. It’s super irritating anyway, but even worse when you’re right in the middle of a Zoom call. Every time I answered, there was just silence on the other end.

Someone called saying they were from the HMRC legal department, but it was pretty clear they weren't legit since they kept mixing up facts. I wouldn’t give out my birthday, telling them they should already have that info on their system. They then claimed all my records were locked away in a courthouse or something, which sounded dodgy to me. That’s when I just ended the call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be 'Officer' David James from HMRC, saying there's a legal case against me for tax evasion. When I asked for a case reference, he actually provided one, along with a so-called 'warrant number'. He then tried to get my date of birth to "open the case file" and continue the conversation, but I wouldn't give it to him, and he just ended the call. Since I have an accountant handling all my tax matters, I knew straight away it was a scam, but I just stayed on the line to see what he'd do next.

I got a call from this number with someone saying they were from Virgin Media. I told them straight up I knew it was a scam. Ever since then, I’ve been getting loads of silent calls from loads of different numbers, like every few minutes. These scammers don’t stop once they think you can see through them, they just keep pestering you non-stop. Watch out for this - they’re proper persistent!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who said he was “Mr Jeremy Smith” from HMRC. He kept going on about some “legal issue” and wanted me to share a reference number. I just told him I’d contact HMRC directly and then hung up.

Somebody rang saying they were from Amazon and claimed my wife’s account got hacked. Thing is, she doesn’t even have an Amazon account! When we told them that, they just ended the call. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

On the 15th of September, I got a ring but my call blocker totally stopped them, haha. No clue who it was or what they wanted.

This number rang me on the 14th of September, but the moment I picked up, the caller hung up straight away. Really frustrating! I'm signed up with the TPS, so I reckon it was either some kind of scam or a dodgy marketing call. Regardless, they shouldn't be contacting anyone who's on the TPS list.
