Not sure if he worked out I wasn’t gonna fall for paying for rubbish coverage I didn’t require. My washing machine’s ancient and long outta any guarantee. Total rip-off!

The person on the line actually had my name and the address of a place I own that's empty, which I found quite unsettling. They tried to sell me an extension for washing machine insurance, which made no sense at all since my washing machine is ancient, definitely no longer under any warranty, and it should only be registered under my mum’s name anyway. I’m proper fed up now with all these calls from people back at work trying to flog me dodgy deals. This one was about some supposedly vital care plan for my washing machine. When I said I wasn’t giving any info, the bloke claimed he already had my phone number, name, address and washing machine details, said he was sorting out the payment plan.
