Someone rang me saying they were from Marvel Heating, talkin’ about some government scheme for renewable energy funding. They claimed my energy provider shared my contact, but I don’t really buy it, so I called my energy company to confirm. Feels dodgy, like it might be a scam.

The woman listed as the director of Liars isn’t really in charge, she’s just a figurehead for her brother who really runs the firm. He’s got a history of fraud and stealing! There are other firms selling the same stuff who are honest. Just do a quick Google and pick one of those instead. Avoid Marvel at all costs!

At first I was pretty annoyed after a few calls from this number and reading what others said about it. But I did give the woman on the line a chance to explain, even though she couldn’t assist me since I’m not on benefits. I looked into what she was talking about and it turns out it’s actually a real thing. Still, those cold calls are a pain, and it’s a bit disappointing that it’s only aimed at folks who get benefits!

If you look up any company records they shouldn’t even be allowed to be trading. Trading standards really should crack down on these sorts of businesses. The latest changes to data protection laws have made no difference at all.

Absolute worst kind of people. I’ve already informed the police. My elderly mum ended up in hospital today after a terrible anxiety attack caused by their relentless pestering, despite her repeatedly asking them to remove her number from their list. Pure disgust for this lot. I’ve spoken twice to someone who claimed to be the manager, but I’m trying to stay calm and let the authorities handle it properly. They operate from above a pub on Bradford Row in Doncaster. Sharing this here because I reckon others deserve to know about the hassle they put folks through.

There's a legit government site for energy grants, it’s a real thing. Anybody can apply on there themselves no problem, all done straight through the official page. No need for constant calls from pushy, rude, sarcastic people. The grant itself is definitely real for those who meet the requirements. As for that broker 'Marvel', it's just a money grabbing scam, nothing more.

After dodging a couple of calls from Marvel Heating, I finally picked up. To my surprise, I was told I qualified for a completely free gas boiler since I’m on benefits. Honestly, really happy with how everything was handled from beginning to end.

Got a call from Marvel home heating claimin they were speakin for the local council. They said that soon council tax would be based on how energy efficient your house is, not the usual banding. It was pretty clear where this was headed, so I told the woman on the phone she was fibbin and this kind of talk might actually upset older folks. Before I could even warn her about that, she hung up. Luckily, I’m on the TPS so didn’t expect much else.

They just keep calling me about an address I’ve never lived at, it’s so frustrating. I’ve told them loads of times to take my number off their list but they won’t stop. When I asked to speak to their manager, the guy on the phone got proper angry and was really rude. Then the “manager” got on the line and honestly, what a joke! He was just as rude and disrespectful. No idea how he got that job, let alone how he keeps it. It’s beyond me. This company is a complete nightmare and really shouldn’t be allowed to operate like this.

Claimed to be from some Government backed program. Asked about an address I’ve never known. She said there’s zero chance of my number getting taken off - said “deal with it”. Just blocked her.
