Someone called saying they were from NewDay, you know, the credit card and finance company. They wanted my name and address, then asked for my date of birth. I told them I wasn’t comfortable giving that out. I got in touch with NewDay afterwards, and they told me it wasn’t them - it’s a scam for sure. I reported the number to Ofcom by texting it to 7726.

Got a really annoying woman calling me, took ages before she said who she was after. She kept insisting she only wanted to talk to one person and refused to say what company she was with, then just hung up. After checking here, I think it’s a scam. Some bloke called claiming to be Dave from Newday about my Amazon card. It was 8:50 in the evening but their customer service closes at 7pm. Plus, I heard Amazon and Newday don’t work together anymore. Dave quickly asked for my full address and date of birth. I told him I wasn’t comfortable sharing that, he said alright and just hung up. I saw some bad reviews here too, so I’ve blocked the number. Just be careful out there, yeah?

They call my mobile first, then try the landline if I don’t pick up. I looked up the number and found this site. I’m a Prime member too but won’t share any info over the phone unless it’s through the official Amazon website or customer support. You can easily check when your Prime subscription renews by logging into your Amazon account under ‘My Account’ or ‘Prime Membership’. I’ll keep ignoring the calls, but I’m tempted to answer just to mess with them a bit and make them think I’m about to give out my details lol, play their game back at them.
