I received a call on my landline supposedly from the ‘Fraud Department of HSBC’. They claimed there were some dodgy transactions I needed to address. The chap on the line requested my account number, which I wisely declined to provide. He then handed me a number to call back on. Upon ringing it, I was greeted by the typical HSBC automated messages and options, but rest assured, it wasn’t genuine HSBC. I've just spent my entire morning at the local branch, and thankfully, I managed to escape unscathed, though they did attempt to secure a hefty loan in my name!

Absolutely fishy business here! I've had two phone calls today from a bloke named Jacob Clint purporting to be from HSBC. On the second ring, I made it clear that I'd done my homework with my bank and that this was clearly a scam. Would you believe it, he just slammed the phone down on me! What a shifty character!
