Got a call from Prestige Telecom saying they were ringing for EE. Had a look into it and they’re definitely not connected. They got really irate when I told them that. Also, when I mentioned my phone flagged it as a "Possible Fraud" call, they got even more annoyed! I mean, why pick up if you don’t want your time wasted? Ended the call right there and then :)

Got a call saying they were from 02, offering to lower my bill since I'm a sole trader, claiming it's some Covid-19 support for self-employed folks. Thing is, I’m not self-employed anymore and the details they used were from a little business I had like a decade ago. The only place that info is even mentioned is on my Facebook page. There's no way 02 would have that kind of old record, so it’s obvious they aren't actually from 02.

EE use these lot as outside contractors for phone upgrades. I’ve dealt with them a couple of times to get an upgrade, and yeah they can be a bit pesky, but they’re not ripping you off. They get a cut from selling you upgrades, and it normally doesn’t add anything extra to what you pay. It’s probably cheaper for EE to hire these folks than to employ their own staff.
