I’ve got a feeling this might be one of those scams.

I didn’t answer, but they sent an automated message saying it was from “compare my policy” about my insurance. They said they’d ring again later or that I could call them back on a totally different number than the one they used. I blocked the number straight away.

I got a call where the person kept asking for some fake name I use. When I told them I had no clue who that was, they went on about some life insurance deal. I told them it’s not right to discuss life insurance like that, feels like a serious GDPR violation, and they seemed annoyed, denying they said anything. Then they promised to remove me from their list, but I’m not buying it. That’s exactly why I have an alias, so I can spot straight away if they’re legit or just stolen my info.
