I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I always ignore calls from numbers I don't recognise. This one keeps pestering me without even bothering to leave a message to clarify who they are or why they're ringing. It turns out it's Octopus Energy, and I've decided to transfer all my business to another provider. I simply can't tolerate this sort of approach.

A chap claiming to be from Octopus Energy reached out, wanting to know the reasons behind my departure from their service. He didn't pry into any sensitive information and was aware of when I’d made my exit, so I was fairly content that it was genuinely them reaching out.

I've received countless calls from this number, and I've gotten to the point where I simply disregard them. I was previously a customer of Octopus Energy, and honestly, these calls are just a right bother!

I’ve had a bit of a natter with Octopus Energy, my old provider, and they’re quite curious about my departure. They've even gone as far as to present a fresh quotation to entice me back.

I received a call from Octopus Energy – they tried four times but didn’t leave a message. Out of curiosity, I decided to return the call, and that’s when I discovered it was indeed them.

Received four phone calls over the span of just four days.

It seems that Octopus Energy is keen on having me come back, especially as I've been considering switching my energy provider.

They give me a ring roughly once a week, yet I never pick up.

Had a call from someone purporting to be from Octopus Energy, attempting to sign up new clients.

I didn't answer the call... it rang for a good 20 seconds. I'm assuming it was some sort of scam.

I got a couple of calls on my mobile from 03333444161 yesterday, spaced about ten minutes apart. I couldn't pick up as I was tied up with other things at the time. I reckon it's likely a scam call since I didn't recognise the number.

I received a voicemail from some energy company claiming it’s about my request to change providers. The thing is, I haven’t actually asked to switch energy suppliers at all!

I received a call today from a number I didn't recognise, so I let it ring. I'm currently based in Bromley, London.

It's high time we identified and dealt with these callers who prey on the elderly. It’s an absolute disgrace how they exploit vulnerable individuals for their own gain.

I simply ignore calls from numbers I don't know. In fact, I've configured my phone to stay on silent if the caller isn't saved in my contacts. I've got no clue who this could be, and they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail either.
