Believed to be a Paypal Scam. Robocall to our Landline claiming to be advice of "Paypal Login Number" (i.e. 2-factor-verification code). Then the phone rang again briefly after 5 minutes, again after further 5 mins, and again after 20 mins, but I wasn't quick enough to answer before it stopped. At that point I just left the phone off the hook for a couple of hours. Given the thousands of times this number has been reported over various websites, why on earth hasn't it been investigated, shut down and perpetrators prosecuted???

Got a call at like 8.30 in the morning from 033 33 443 400, and then it kept ringing around every ten minutes after that. It totally ruined my lovely lie-in! Didn’t pick up but checked the number on 1471, and it looks like a dodgy scam call, just as I thought. Properly irritating!

Got a dodgy robocall on our home phone claiming it was from PayPal with some sort of "login code" or two-step verification thing. The call dropped, then the same number called back a few times - like 5 mins later, then again, and even after 20 minutes - but I missed it every time because it stopped ringing so fast. I ended up just leaving the phone off the hook for hours to avoid it. With so many people reporting this number, I honestly don’t get why nothing’s been done to shut it down or track down who’s behind it. Seems like they get away with it way too easily!

Last year I got hacked and it was a nightmare, so now I never pick up if I don’t know the number. I just let the answerphone take it. Usually, they hang up straight away but this time someone actually left a message. It was just total nonsense - loads of random numbers, letters, and weird sounds - so I deleted it right away. Then I used 1471 to find the number, which showed up as a nuisance call on my caller ID. That’s probably why I don’t answer them anymore. Even being registered with the Telephone Preference Service hasn’t stopped these annoying calls.
