Just like what others here said, I got one of those robotic calls claiming I’m being watched. No idea what their game is, but honestly, these sort of scammers should be stopped for good. I’ve got a heart problem, so it freaked me out big time at first. Glad I checked out the comments or I’d still be worried. Thanks to all who shared their experiences.

Got a robo call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I'm being watched and need to ring them back. I thought if HMRC really had me under surveillance, they wouldn't be calling me up like that, so I reckon it's a scam. The voice was pretty aggressive too, which made it feel quite intimidating. Honestly, this seems risky and like something proper authorities should look into.

Got a robocall saying our home is being watched by HMRC, sounded really intense and aggressive. Feels like just another scam to me. I flagged it as risky because someone might freak out, call back, and end up handing over cash to fraudsters.

These guys are seriously the worst, wasting so much of your time rattling on about badge IDs and case details that are totally made up. At first, I actually believed it was legit, but then the moment he started demanding I pay a big sum straight away or I'd be locked up, it hit me - total scam. I told him he was the one who’d end up behind bars for fraud since I was recording the call just like he was, and then he just cut me off. Proper laugh!

So, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian or Asian accent claiming to be from HMRC. When I told him flat out they weren’t really from HMRC, he flipped and started shouting all sorts of horrible stuff at me. Honestly, the things he said were awful, I can’t even repeat them. It baffles me how people can go around treating others like this. Do they really believe everyone is so daft as to fall for it? Such rubbish!

I got a call with some robot voice claiming to be from the tax fraud department, saying my home was being watched. I rang HM Revenue right away to check. They told me it wasn’t them and it’s a scam. Just so you know, if you want to confirm, call HM Revenue yourself but have your tax reference handy. The person at HMRC said they never make automated calls like that, and they always send a letter before contacting you any other way. You’d have to phone them to set up a meeting anyway. So yeah, it’s just a load of rubbish.
