I received a message that was identical on the 8th of September, 2017.

I received a message from this number that looked like a genuine text from Barclays Bank, but I suspect it’s a scam. The message stated: "Barclays has detected that your debit card was used on the 7th of September, 2017 at 04:20:03 at HomeBase for the sum of £1990.00. If this transaction wasn’t made by you, please contact Fraud Prevention on 03333440832 with reference: N2YLV49D." Be cautious, as it's a premium rate number. Definitely do not ring them back!
