Yet again, we’ve been troubled by calls from this particular number. My elderly mother-in-law, who is a sprightly 91, typically answers the phone, but has to make quite a trek of about 20 feet across the room, as her mobility is rather limited. This time, at 4:10 PM on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, I could hear a woman on the line who seemed to be in a call centre, chatting away with someone else. After I had greeted her with “Hello” no less than six times, she abruptly terminated the call. It was utterly infuriating, especially as I was in the midst of whipping up dinner. Clearly, she was more engrossed in her knitting than attending to her responsibilities-honestly, it’s enough to make anyone lose their patience! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
