Got a call from someone who said they were from housing repairs, talking about mould in my flat. I immediately thought it was dodgy because I asked how she knew about it and she just went quiet before hanging up. She said her name was Sarah and sounded really polite. Since I actually work in housing repairs myself, it was obvious to me it was a scam right away.

Right after I picked up, the person on the other end just cut the call, felt like a scam to me. Looks like they’re just testing if your number’s alive so that other scammers can target you afterwards.
