Got an email supposedly from Nationwide about a direct debit being arranged for some dental clinic. They then told me to ring their "dedicated team right away" if I hadn’t arranged it myself. But I could tell it was dodgy straight off, that number starting with loads of 3’s is a dead giveaway for a scam. Fingers crossed no one gets worried and dials that number thinking it’s legit.

Dealing with scam emails isn’t that hard. Just send them over to '[email protected]' on Google. Also, don’t forget to use the phishing report feature (the three dots at the top right) to flag suspicious emails.

I got an email from this number saying I needed to confirm a monthly direct debit with Nationwide. Thing is, I've never had an account with them, so I knew straight away it was some kind of scam. Definitely dodgy!

Watch out for this bank fraud scam. I got a text pretending to be Barclays, saying I had to confirm a payment and to ring a number if it wasn’t me, claiming they’d give a code. Don’t fall for it!
