Got a text claiming to be from Barclays saying a payment plan for £439.99 had been arranged starting 2nd March 2026 or something like that. It told me to call a number if I hadn’t authorised it. I didn’t reply, instead I rang Barclays straight away. They told me it’s a scam and that number has nothing to do with them. Apparently they’ve had other people report the same thing. Just a heads up, never call the number in these messages or they’ll try to scam you out of your details. Always get in touch with your bank by using the official number only.
