I received a call earlier today from someone claiming to represent Barclays. He had an accent typical of someone from Africa. When I inquired about the purpose of his call, he abruptly disconnected the line. Definitely sounds like a scammer to me!

Received a call earlier from a number I couldn't identify. I attempted to ring them back, but it’s still showing as unknown.

The phone rang, and when I picked up, a bloke on the other end claimed he was from housing maintenance, following up on some repairs I supposedly requested. Strangely, he didn’t bother to use my name. When I informed him that I hadn’t made any such requests, he abruptly disconnected the call.
